First time for ages that I've given a five. We both really enjoyed our meals. Luis recommended the alubiada the best I've eaten for many a year. Full if sacramentos, the meats that fill out its taste. Followed by milk lamb cutlets done to perfection. Great food great atmosphere and a genial waiter what more could one want?

We were pleased to find a restaurant that was open before 9pm and were delighted with the quick and efficient service, the selection available from the menu, and the food and wine as it came. Luis advised us on which wine to go with and it was very nice indeed. Good value, great experience! Well located too, right in the... More

We went for an afternoon lunch and wanted something really nice so Luis sat us down, brought excellent wines, and proceeded with tipico Riojan dishes of a bean and chorizo soup, potato and chorizo stew, lamb chops, stuffed pimentos, and incredible desserts. He was proud of his food and, believe me, on the Camino, that is almost impossible to find.... More

On a recent holiday we spent an evening in Logroño, and since most restaurants open late (21:00) we were happy to find that El Muro opened half an hour earlier. When we had a look at the menu outside the restaurant suddenly the door opened and Luis, the waiter (owner?) convinced us in a very nice way to enter the... More

We went to Calle Laurel to try to choose a place for lunch, and were overwhelmed with the choices. While we were looking at the menu, Luis, the charming waiter, came out and explained everything to us. He even opened ten minutes early to accommodate our needs. It's 16.99 for the three course lunch menu that includes bread, a bottle... More

Good restaurant choice in a town full mostly of tapas bars. We were served by a lovely gentleman who spoke limited English but was trying to be as helpful as he could, We ordered starters and mains and he ensured we got best value for money when he noticed I had ordered 2 things from the set menu (which I... We're walking on the Camino o de Santiago and fell upon this place by accident last night. The food was great, they understood about celiac needs. LUIS, THE WAITER AND HEAD MAN was a wonder and sorted our needs very well. Tonight we decided to go back it was so good. We arrived to a warm welcome and another excellentdinner followedbyseveral... Unfortunately we lack the enthusiasm shown for this restaurant by the two London reviewers. The harassed head (and only) waiter rushed around like a headless chicken. He brought the chosen, and expensive, wine to our table, uncorked it, poured a little for tasting and immediately rushed off. Whether it was acceptable or otherwise was clearly of no consequence to him,... More

We stopped in Logrono on the way to Bilbao and had done no research in advance but found our way to Calle Laurel which our hotel guide showed as full of restaurants. El Muro was the one that appealed most and turned out to be a good find, although the only diners were English speaking tourists, but it was early... More
