Very worthwhile to make a detour

Apart from the tapas bars, the best dinner I had in Logroño was in La Galeria. Just a few minor improvements and I would have given them the maximimum score. Two starters were of excellent quality, balance, structure, taste etc. The ceviche of rape and salmon was super in combination with some... read more

The chef here is excellent, a three fork that punches above its weight. Good range of regional food and a reasonable wine list. Service is good. The overal ambience is good with modern art and comfortable seating.

A great dining experience. Everything was amazing. The service was great. I had the lamb chops. They were perfect. (Small portion left me wanting more). The gazpacho is proper and nicely presented. The wine selection was delicious! The main waiter has a zest for service and a passion for the food. I recommend taking his recommendations on the wine and the... More

We chose this restaurant having read the other reviews on Trip. Although the owner didn't speak English, the menu helpfully was in English. We chose to share our lovely starter of fried anchovies, which was just as well as chef sent out a gorgeous warm soup and croquette as an amuse bouche. Our mains, kid shoulder and rissoto were divine.... More

a small place (only a couple of tables, with a glass wall separating the kitchen from the restaurant), hidden in a street of Logrono, the capital of Rioja wine region. the owner, who used to work as a winemaker, is a bald guy, knowing really much about wine and champagne from all around the world. the place has a small... On a recent trip to Logroño capital of Rioja's wine district of Spain. I was taken to dinner to a restaurant that I thought deserved my review. The restaurants name is "LA GALERIA" (The Gallery) The name, La Galeria is most appropriate. The decor; lighting, flowers, music and even the photographic exhibit on the walls at the time that I... I went to this restaurant on the recomendation of a business contact. The staff sadly don't speak great English but made up for this with great food , wine and service. We had a tasting menu chosen by the owner, which included 5 courses for about 30 euros. There was a great fresh fish course, beef simply done and a... More
