Not doing any favours to improve the European view on English food. Bangers and mash: instant mash, horrible gravy and cheap sausages. If you are going to make the effort to import British bangers at least make them nice ones. Steak and ale pie. Not too bad filling, The top may have been crusty once, but once it had been... More

Right, it was 5 of us there we had our lunch, time to pay ... It appears, as per advise from a member of staff "I should have read the menu to the end because it says that we do not take cards a the end of the menu", I say it is unfair! I do not have cash, nor... More

Food bordering on horrendous. Staff were polite enough and service was fine but the food was pretty awful. I had the mixed grill in which it was hard to tell which type of meat was which, everything was that bland. The person I was with had a burger. The patty was tiny and looked like it was something bought out... More

Tucked away off the Main Street , this is a a great place to chill out. The food is excellent, and the staff very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Sitting outside with a good pint of John Smith's made our trip. A nice get away from the ship.

Went here for breakfast with some family members. The staff were ok if not a little disinterested. Food was also ok, but I'm glad to say there were no issues with any of our orders. Pretty standard pub breakfast really. Wanted to pay by card for our meal and drinks but couldn't as they only take cash! C'mon, what year... More

This place was on a quiet corner just off main street, and looked like a nice place away from the main street. In the shade and a good menu for lunch. Sadly, the service let it down. Ordered "a pint", but before I had the chance to stipulate a pint of what, the waitress was already starting to walk off.... More

Having spent 2 weeks on the Independence of the Sea, it was so good to find an "English Pub" that served good old fashioned wholesome food. The pub was extremely busy, but we did manage to find a table outside and watch the world go by, while sipping a pint of John Smiths. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly... More

If you enjoy frozen food served by very unfriendly staff, eating somewhere with a dirty feel to it, being ripped off when paying the bill due to an exchange rate Dick Turpin would be proud of, then please please please go and eat here as you'll love it. I don't like any of the above, so unfortunately it's not for... More

I visited the Cannon with my husband recently and we were annoyed with ourselves for wasting our time and money here. It was not very clean and the staff were rude. I certainly would not recommend it at all.
