The food was of a very high standard with plenty of variety of foods over the week we dined there. The breakfast was plentiful with both English and continental foods.

The food is nice but it is very expensive and even more so when you add the cost of the rooms too. Shame as it is a nice place just wish it was more suited to smaller budgets.

I have been to various English hotels for afternoon tea and so was expecting a comparable experience here. How wrong I was. Firstly, we were advised that they were running late and were not ready for us. For nearly 45 minutes we were left to our own devices on the first floor of the stuffy, overheated hotel. There was no... More

Recently stayed at this Hotel for a Wedding Reception for some good friends of ours (Sept 13) and have nothing but praise for the whole experience. We were able to check in early to prepare for the reception, the staff were delightful, the wedding meal exceptional which is not always the case with mass catering! Our suite (recently refurbished) was... More

The views from this very dated hotel are amazing. The hot food is the best choice. The salads or vegetables tend to be not so fresh. The hotels is being slowly remodeled, which is a good thing since this property is in a prime location.

excellent variety as reasonable price which suited adults and children. Highly recommend. Would recommend the sword fish and my children loved the ice cream and non alcoholic cocktails.

Because we were staying in the hotel we ate each night in its' own restaurant. Why go somewhere else when their own is so good and reliable.

Visited the rock as an alternative to taking an infernal cab up the hill to view monkeys being erm monkeys. Back to the rock... The reception were pleasant and helpful but it took an age to get served. Needed 2 reminders. The gin and tonic was ok the price for two gin and tonic and 3 Lemonade was 15gbp. The... More

Absolutely lovely food, well presented, perfectly cooked, speedy but not rushed service. Not too pricey, with a set menu or al a carte. Nice wine choice and not too expensive. Main hotel and subsequent restaurants being refurbished. No air con, are at the pool side one evening where the atmosphere was lovely, same food - watch out for those monkeys... More
