Cheap and cheerful is usually regarded as not being a great thing, but in the case of The Clipper it is a positive advantage. We first came across The Clipper on our first trip to Gib about twelve months ago and we have been back several times since. The food is good solid English pub grub, but they also cater... More

Although you have to find this place, when you do you will be there a lot. They are really nice people, with a good understanding of customer service. The food is really nice and just reminds you of home with the home cooked delights they have to offer. Thank you for many good visits and can't wait to visit again.

Nicely located in Irish town I have been here three times now. The food is solid, good and tasty. But service is non existent and ordering meals with several persons is a challenge. No one at same time and starters comes when main course is done .... Happened all three times - maybe it's a part of the concept ?

We were on gilbrator for a day trip and need a decent lunch. There menu looked ok and we ordered burgers as a safe choice. To say the food was awful would be an understatement. We had to go to 5 tables to find ketchup packages!

I could not get over the staff's friendliness and so helpful. The cost of things in Gib' seem high for something's eg ( THE LANDINGS restaurant ) but the cost of our diner and wine was lower than I expected. I noted the locals also use this bar restaurant . I believe the CLIPPER has been there a long time

This is a typical Gibraltar pup grub type of restaurant. The menu is quite extensive from Sunday roast, Indian food, wraps, stews, salads, and sandwiches. My favourite dish are BBQ spare ribs which are the best I have ever tasted. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Its a local favourite for lunch and on weekends booking in advance is... More

It is one of the restaurant/bars in Gibraltar where one needs to book a table [ or queue outside ] on a Sunday lunchtime to get a table. It is invariably busy on any day, this is prbably 60/40 locals /visitors, but most of the shops in the city do not open on Sundays so, there are no large coaches driving in...
