Dependable and Authentic

The house red wine was outstanding and the most memorable part of my meal. The razor clams were fine. The scallops were tasty, but you could tell that this traditional recipe has been served a million times and by now, the chef was tired of it. The roast lamb was nearly perfect. The potatoes (and... read more

Went there with a small group from our tour, seven of us. our guide had selected a set menu to give us a wide taste of the local specialities. She more than succeeded Everything was very nicely prepared and absolutely delicious. First time I had octopus fried in garlic and butter but it won't be the last.

We had a group of eight for a pre-set menu, and it was perfectly timed and each course was unique and tasty (well, not the octopus, but that's just me...can't stand the stuff), paired with a couple of really fine local wines. I never saw the menu, so I can't speak to the full range of offerings, but the pre-set... More

We hadn't booked but a table was made available for the two of us. The restaurant filled up very quickly and is obviously very popular with tourists and locals alike. The staff were courteous and we enjoyed the pulpo a la plancha.

The food here was delicious, great atmosphere, friendly, helpful and attentive service, went as a group of five, had two mains, four tapas, three bottles of wine, and two postre to share between us all and came to about €125 which is extremely good for the overall quality, would return to Santiago just for this restaurant...

We expected better from the reviews. Food was OK, bacilao tough and smothered with cheese. Beautiful goats cheese and cranberry salad. Don't worry about the waitress - service was efficient and you can turn it into a game to get her to smile

I think we had the same waitress as the reviewer on 4th April. The restaurant was recommended to us by a very nice local lady. She said it served authentic Galician food and she and her friends go there. It does serve local food and we had a very good meal. My husband had sea bream - bizarrely he was... More

Our first impressions were very positive as this is a restaurant attended mostly by locals, not tourists. We were promptly taken to a huge table for 2 by a friendly waiter. The servis was friendly and efficient. As first courses, ve chose stuffed pimientos and croquetas which were both very well executed and delicious. Then we shared baked lamb and... More

We were a group of 9 people that came in 21:00 from A Coruña. We had heard a lot of positive things of Dezaseis. Local people said they served good food. It took almost 40 min to get our food. We asked for medium made entrecöte, but it was pink inside and we returned it. It almost took 20 min... More

We arrived at about 9pm on a Friday and snagged one of the last remaining tables for two. Food was delicious - we especially enjoyed the empanada of the day and the house salad (which surprised us with beets, tuna, white asparagus, onions, tomato, pickles, olives, bean sprouts, carrots, and more). Three dishes was plenty to share - we walked... More
