Tasty, nice atmosphere, inconsistent service

We arrived at about 9pm on a Friday and snagged one of the last remaining tables for two. Food was delicious - we especially enjoyed the empanada of the day and the house salad (which surprised us with beets, tuna, white asparagus, onions, tomato, pickles, olives, bean sprouts, carrots, and more... read more

We were a group of 9 people that came in 21:00 from A Coruña. We had heard a lot of positive things of Dezaseis. Local people said they served good food. It took almost 40 min to get our food. We asked for medium made entrecöte, but it was pink inside and we returned it. It almost took 20 min... More

One of the young locals working at our hotel said this is her favorite place in town and she graciously made a reservation for us. We were the first party seated in the dining room and it filled up quickly. We were waited on quickly, but the waiter seemed put off/intimidated by the language barrier. He virtually ignored us until... More

my favorite restaurant in town. Traditional food in a fancy atmosphere. Large variety of quality galician food and awesome desserts. Highly recommended.

From the lively Spanish chatter coming from surrounding tables, it seems this restaurant is for those in the know and we were the only two non locals dining this particular night. The food, atmosphere, service and value were all terrific. In fact so much so we went back the following night. Highly recommended.

16 Xantar is special: a big, rustic eating space, where you can eat well-prepared, fresh local food. I went there with local regulars and was treated like royalty: apart from a menu in English, I even got a free double Macallans as "digestif" (Watch out, though, their "omelette" is actually a tortilla, and an omelette is a "tortilla frances"). Anyhow,... More

good local food. Portions are generous so you have to be careful when ordering. The ambiance is nice, decoration on wood and stone. We ordered empanada and soup, very good both. Salad and fish, it was fresh and well cooked. Cheese cake as dessert, very creamy and tasty. The place is big with a lot of tables so it can... More

Dezaseis has very good food, a hopping bar, is very large and charming. the food is typical Galician food. the menu is in Gallego!! we asked for Spanish, but the waiter felt insulted and gave us one in English!! LOL. we sat up front near the bar, which starts to get active at 10pm. i really liked the restaurant's atmosphere.... More

We got the last table in the restaurant and perhaps they struggled to cope when it was busy. However, there were aspects of our experience that were very poor. I realise that most other reviews here are very positive, but I have to tell it as it was for us. The atmosphere is good, with a living vine climbing over... More

This afternoon my mother and I ate at Dezaseis for lunch. The interior of the restaurant is very inviting and the stone walls are beautiful. Although the daily set menu was a good price, we weren't keen on what was being offered, so instead ordered off the menu. We shared a green salad with Camembert cheese and walnuts and the... More
