Nice atmosphere

We arrived a bit early for dinner which starts at 8:30pm and got free choice for the table. The restaurant is located downstairs of an historical building which provides a nice atmosphere. It is quite spacious. I had a fish (dorada) for a maincourse which tasted excellent and was very well... read more

If you wanna enjoy delicious food with real Gallego flavours, then this is the place. It is very good and with accessible prices. situated right at the center. I highly recommend you ask for the full menu and enjoy the good and fast service.

Good place to dinner, tradicional Galician food. I recomend this place, with no doubt, if you are in Santiago.

The fish is so fresh that the texture and flavor was out of this world. My husband had solomillo de cerdo but that was a little dry. The tasting plate if desserts is very good. We were a large group and staff looked stress thus service was good but not extraordinary.

I first discovered dezaseis many years ago when some Galician friends took me there. It was then, and remains one of the truly great galician eating experiences. Huge portions are a galician trademark, here they are accompanied by some delicious flavours and an atmosphere unrivalled in this basement restaurant. At lunchtime the menu del dia is great value at 12euro... More

A local shopkeeper recommended this restaurant to my wife and I - it's where the locals go! Don't be put off by the unpretentious exterior which appears to need a clean - go in and downstairs for a great atmosphere. If you haven't reserved for dinner, then you need be there at 8.30pm since clients were being turned away at... More

There was a group of us going to this restaurant and were able to share many "Pinchos" or "tappas". By and large, the service is crisp, the wine was good and the empanada with tuna is spicy and it was the best I had since eating at over half a dozen restaurants. For main dish, I had sea bass ...... This establishment was highly recommended by our hotel staff. It is about a 10 minute walk from Hotel Compestela. The restaurant is downstairs with beautiful stone walls. The first area you walk into was reserved. The next area was for walk ins. We enjoyed a nice dinner & drinks for about 35 £. Service was good. The place got very... More

Great local food in a basement setting. Great pulpo and revueltos. Brisk service. Big local crowd on a Saturday night. Recommend.

If you planned to visit Bonaval; even if you are not willing to enter the monastery close of the modern art museum; (although you should know that this is a must see visit: the ancient cemetery now turned a park with beautiful views of the back side of the Cathedral) one of the recommended places to have something to eat...
