Great concept, brilliant food

I'd had a couple of poor meals in the city so I was determined to do better. I had lunch here, as a solo diner. I sat at the counter and watched my food being prepared. Staff were helpful in making sure I got a half portion of each dish (each one normally serves 2). Food was very fresh and... More

We knew that Galicia is a hot spot for foodies in Spain but this restaurant was beyond our expectations. The food was really fresh and cooked in front of us. Two dishes will stay in my memory the "Spicy Tuna" and the "Lemon Meringue". This is the first place to go during my next trip to Galicia.

We had a tasting menu and were not disappointed. Every plate was put together by a friendly chef who first enquired after our tastes and allergies. Each plate was delicious and different and clever in their design. Casa Marcello is well worth a visit and not to be missed.

An amazing food experience for all 6 of us - food was truly delightful, atmosphere was wonderful and staff attention was truly fantastic. Thank you for a lovely end to a truly remarkable experience to the end of Camino El Santiago

Just come and try it! I had an amazing experience here, not least because I was alone and didn't feel it, I was so well looked after. The food? Amazing!

We had lunch mid-week at casa Marcelo and really enjoyed our experience. We were welcomed by the chef and sat at the bar facing the kitchen so we saw our food being prepared. The chef made us a tasting menu of seven courses - all were delicious - and he explained each course and the ingredients used. Really interesting to... More

Had heard great reviews about this place. They do not take reservations so go early or very late. It gets crowded but it is really worth it. A kind of modern tapas/Asian/fusion food. Unexpected to find when everything else in the town is so traditional. Wine selection is excellent with wonderful white Alvarinhos. Service is excellent. have them help you... More

A different twist to the usual seafood fare in Galicia, and a welcome change after many heavier meals. The food is excellent - a fusion of Galician ingredients with Asian influences. Being Asian, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the chef and his team replicated flavours that were familiar, and yet, interestingly, not quite: and it is that slight... More

It's not a tipical tapas bar, both with regard to the food being served and the setting. there are three separate sittings, one long high table for about 20, where you sit in high benches side by side with other patrons, there's a small sushi style "barra", and a table for about 6 close to the open kitchen. The food... More
