Amazing

We found this restaurant by coincedence as we were walking around Santiago. We let the chef decided our meals and it was fabilous! One of the dishes was scorpion fish which was really good. My wife just finished the Camino Frances and we also wanted to celebrate our anniversary so we decided to go here for dinner and avoid the more generic restaurants in the area. We had no idea what to order so we left it up to the chef- ended up having one of the best meals we've ever had and definitely... More

It plays with a fusion of Galician and Japanese cuisines. Familiarity with Galicia cuisine is needed to fully understand many of the proposals

We found this amazing place on our last day for lunch before flying back to the UK. Its hard to find words to praise it highly enough as all the recent reviews have already done that. The staff were superb and it was a real treat to be able to sit overlooking the kitchen watching the love and skill with... More

We came into Casa Marcelo, 5 of us without a reservation. The chef offered to make us a tasting menu and he catered to our different likes and dislikes without hesitation. The food was spectacular - the best we had in 35 days traveling Spain. The wine - Marcelo wine - was also delicious. I cannot say enough good about... More

We ordered a three-person tasting menu, with seven dishes to share... all of us are seasoned eaters of Gallego and Asian food. Casa Marcelo did not disappoint, they did not miss a beat, food-wise! We sat along the bar and watched the men slice fresh tuna belly and dip-fry whole red perch. Every dish was artistically presented (the scallops with... More

Lots of highly interesting servings - raw seafood, lightly processed and cooked to perfection. The staff was really friendly and nice from start to end. Truly worth a visit.

We arrived as it was getting busy at about 10pm and asked them to pick some dishes that we would enjoy. The lady who served us was friendly and very efficient. We sat next to the kitchen area which was like watching masterchef! Each dish was a delight. The house wine was excellent. Highlights were the dim sum, mackerel, scorpion... More

We had read about this restaurant in "Rick Steves Spain 2015" but needed to check it out as tasting menus are not really my wife's favorite. We met the chef just before they opened and he said to come by at opening time the next evening and he would discuss our preferences and craft a menu to our liking. And... More

I'd had a couple of poor meals in the city so I was determined to do better. I had lunch here, as a solo diner. I sat at the counter and watched my food being prepared. Staff were helpful in making sure I got a half portion of each dish (each one normally serves 2). Food was very fresh and... More
