Our experience in Casa Marcelo was just amazing. I loved the atmosphere, eating arrangements, the drinks and the food. In casa Marcelo you are allocated to a large table with other diners but you can still talk with your companion freely. They make you choose between choosing your own food or they choose for you on one condition that if... More

My girlfriend and I met a couple of Facebook friends from Santiago de Compostela. It was the first time to see them face to face, and they steered us to a fantastic avant garde restaurant. We were fortunate to be seated in a back room which was quiet enough for us to focus on getting to know each other. A... More

We made a reservation without knowing very well what to expect. Once there, it was a great surprise. The food, a Japanese-Gaelician fusion so creative. The service, knowledgeable and friendly. And it is a pleasure to see a well-run business lead by a young and motivated team.

Casa Marcelo was recommended to us as a good place to go but we were warned we could not book so we should get there early. We were really hanging out for some good food so we trudged through the rain and stood outside for 10 minutes until the restaurant opened. My Husband and I are what some people might call old... Don't even think twice on this one; it's a must. Let Chef Martin pick your meal, sit back, relax and enjoy! We went back for our second night in town. Tip; get there right when they open and sit in back overlooking the kitchen. Just delightful in every way.

I dined several times at Casa Marcelo during a two-week stay in Santiago de Compostela in August 2015. I liked it so much I returned both alone and with several groups of students, colleagues, and friends. It is certainly one of the best restaurants in town. Marcelo a few years decided to go the gastrobar route and explore his interest... More

We loved this restaurant for its style, freshness of produce and vibrancy. As we didn't understand the menu we asked to have guidance with the menu, and we were not disappointed with anything that was served. There was a very strong Japanese fusion influence, but the contrast back with the Spanish ingredients was just so interesting, but overall delicious. We... More

The Michelin Guide restaurant did not have a tasting menu but the chef offered to create a 6 course for €53. The restaurant is billed as serving fusion food which appears to be Galician + Asian as I was served 4 Asian dishes + 1 Galician + 1 dessert. The dishes were as follows: Tuna sashimi in a soy based... More

We were in Santiago for 2 nights. We had read good things about Casa Marcelo, and because of a birthday celebration, we had planned to eat there on the first night. It was spectacular. We sat at the kitchen bar where we could watch the staff cook. Marcelo choose our menu, an amazing meal. Marinaded tuna carpaccio (which She Who... More
