I've eaten here now numerous times, including lunches and just a glass of wine w/tapas. These folks are not cheap on their tapas and wine. I was able to learn a lot about Galician cheeses here. They are generous with their jamón and salcihón. My lunch (ensalada con pollo y mango) was incredible. Wines are of good quality.

We liked everything we ate over two consecutive nights. But, if I had to single out one - lobsters with papatas. We ate like crazy, had a glass or two of wine and the bill never topped the low 30 euros.

Tixolas of octopus and prawns for 14 euros, other kind of tixolas (pans) with several types of mushrooms also nice, polvo a feira, good offer of tapas and good selection of wines at reasonable prices. The place is out of the tourist circuit which has its advantages. Recommended to those that want to taste local food surrounded by local people.... More

I lived in Compostela for 10 years and this place was our fav restaurant to meet up, take some drinks and tapas or have a "tixola de pulpo e langostinos" , and "delicias bodeguilla"

Santiago is packed full of bars, restaurants and places to eat - if you walk down Rua Franco on Saturday night, it's absolutely packed with people filling their bellies. If you want the big crowd experience, you know where to go. Alternatively, if you want a neighbourhood restaurant, Bodeguilla San Roque is a nice place to go. The downstairs really... More

Woooo... that wine menu. That tapas list. Those magnificent pulpos. That cheese... Just to make it short: It does not look very special from the outside and it is simply furnished, but the selection of food and fish is nothing short than awesome.

It was Sunday, and having unsurprisingly discovered that most of the TripAdvisor Top 10 were closed, we searched the Old Town for a restaurant that WAS open. Fortunately, this one was both open and an excellent choice! The surroundings were relaxing, the waiters friendly and helpful, and the portions MASSIVE and very tasty. Octopus (of course!), extra spicy chorizo, and... More

We visited this place on the 28th evening. We ordered a couple of dishes and a bottle of wine and garlic bread. Wine was poor. My dish came before the garlic bread. Garlic bread arrived. We decided to share the dishes as the 2nd dish was taking so long. When we'd finished the 1st dish(calamari) we waited for the pork... More

We were recommended by the hotel to have here dinner. And was delicious. Easy to find and a parking nearby. We are on the 1st floor, the ambience was nice and luckily we had a reservation. We shared starters and for main meal cod and another tuna. All was delicious and more than enough. Like in The most places of... More

We had been warned that the helpings were generous but nevertheless ended up with way too much food. All the classic dishes of Santiago, mostly fish, all excellent and quite reasonable. This is a perfect spot for wintertime, or bad weather -- there are windows but no outside space and it felt a bit too cozy on a beautiful summer... More
