Local Stop

If you want to eat among the locals, in a basic restaurant and you like seafood Galicia style this is the place. We walked in at 8pm with no reservation, and got the last table in the back. We sat on stools next to a 3 generation family and another 2 local couples, there for a Friday night dinner... read more

Spnanish woices talking away all around you, a big bowl of streaming hot octopus cooling on the table outside of the kitchen. I imeadiatly took a liking to this place. Visited in lunchtime and had good seafood and fresh local wine served in smal white bowls. Lovely local atmosphere!

This is perfect place where I ate first Spanish food in my Spain life. Very fast service, delicious food and old fashion place. I entered this place when I am going around in Santiago de compostela's old town..

Small tavern in the middle of Santiago, short walk from the cathedral. Small dining room in the back - stand in line for it or elbow your way to the bar like the locals do and place your order. This is a busy place so it's noisy and packed. We picked our dishes from looking at the plates on the... More

Best octopus in town! Traditional restaurant full of character and delicious seafood. Pair some of the tapas with some artisanal local cider.

Battle past the locals towards the back and grab a place to sit or stand whilst enjoying the most traditional Galician tapas you van imagine. Pigs Ear, octopus, clams, all to die for...washed down with Galicia Estrella Come back time and again

A truthful place. Just genuine and excellent food - as it should be. Is there for many generations, and I bet many more to come. It's a sin to miss eating there, couldn't be better.

Small, local bar/restaurant with fresh and delicious food. With just a few small tables and chairs, it is worth the visit. You will observe many locals...and that is a good sign. The service is good and fast, since they need the tables for other customers. We had the "chorizos al vino" (spanish sausage cooked in wine) and it was amazing!... More

Little simple restaurant in central Santiago de Compostela that packs a big punch. Local wine by the jar (4€) served in small bowls and a shortish menu of great Galician food. Some of the best pulpo ala feira we had and my favourite chocos en su tinta, perfectly long cooked squid - delicious! Worth a bit of a wait....not to... More

Be prepared to wait, or eat standing up, but well worth it. Visited twice and would love to visit again.
