Old school goodness

So if you're looking for the latest in molecular gastronomy and that kind of thing, this is not going to be your slice of fish. It's a really old school kind of place. The waiters look like they are a hundred years old but they move around with the sprightliness I've experienced in most service... read more

This restaurant has family connections to "Pablo Gallego" another fine restaurant where we ate the previous evening . It is situated on the main road facing the marina . The staff are all dressed in black trousers , waist coats and ties , it is like going back in time , good old fashioned top class service . The food... More

Coral was recommended to us by the desk clerk at our hotel, Blue Coruna. We told her we liked good seafood; without any hesitation she sent us here, about a ten-minute walk from the hotel. Great dinners! I had hake, my wife had jumbo prawns. Both dishes were perfectly prepared. For dessert, flan, of course-- delicious! Service was excellent and... More

Our hotel concierge recommended this charming restaurant because we wanted to dine at a good seafood restaurant. It's elegantly decorated in an old world style, which I love. Superb and beautifully presented food. The scallop appetizers were especially divine as was the white asparagus. Everything was delicious. The service was outstanding. Don't hesitate to go, it was a lovely, romantic... More

This restaurant is a great place to go if you want good quality ingredients cooked in a masterful way, with very attentive wait staff. When they noticed my husband struggling to read the menu, they brought him a box with three grades of reading spectacles and they attended to every need in the same style, anticipating our every need. Food... More

It was excellent!! We went for dinner but we cold not go in because they were full, we went back the next day for lunch. Excellent, but a little bit pricy, but it is worth every penny, because the quality is excellent.

Asked our hotel to recommend a restaurant for dinner which is how we ended up at Coral. Everything was superb from the fabulous seafood to the service. Would highly recommend it even if it is a bit pricey. One criticism of restaurants in Northern Spain - they don't open for dinner until 9 or even 9.30pm which I think out... More

Coral is an excellent restaurant, both in terms of quality and price, right in the center of A Coruña, Spain - a stone's throw from the port if you are on a cruise. We started our Monday lunch in early September with a selection of shared starters : delicious percebes (a type of barnacle), fava beans with shellfish, grilled vegetables... More

We were recently on a cruise from Amsterdam to Barcelona and stopped in A Coruña along the way. The restaurant, which is located quite near the port, offers what has to be some of the best cuisine in Galicia. The service from the moment we made the reservation to the moment we left at the end of our meal was... More
