Had a good dinner here!

My cousin leaves in the area and this place is a favorite of hers. I let her select the tapas dishes and the wine - everything was delicious! It's near the main square and was packed. Staff was very friendly.

The roast veal melts in your mouth! It's served with delicious gallaecian potatoes. Try for dessert a "filloa" which looks like a crepe... But it's not :)

The staff were pleasant, but not as friendly as at other restaurants in the area. The food was ok, but nothing spectacular. However, some of the dishes being served did look very good. I ordered the lamb cutlets, which were ok, but I've had better. The Tuna salad was very nice though. I wouldn't write this restaurant off, but maybe... More

I've eaten here almost every time I've visited La Coruña. La Penela is famous for its roasted veal and rightfully so! It is roasted to perfection in a savory sauce and served with equally delicious potatos. I had some Ribeiro de Duero to compliment the veal After lunch, a cup of café con leche was a pleasant ending to a... More

It is a very good restaurant. You have to try the "tortilla de Betanzos", its something absolutly amazing (if you like almoust raw egg) Then the star dish... "Carne Assada", wowwww 6 hours in the oven and the knife goes like if it was butter.

The ambience in the restaurant feels quite nice. There is a winter garden area, with the view to the square and the city hall. The good point is that they have a menu in English. The starters we ordered are very delicious: garlician soup, garlician peppers, and the famous pulpo (octopus). The main course we had was the Monkfish in... More

Fantastic location in the heart of Plaza de Maria Pita. The slow roast - and very reasonably priced - Carne Asada is very special. My wife and her family are from Galicia and we're equally impressed!
