On the way from Barcelona to San Sebastian we stopped in the little town of Lleida for lunch at El Celler del Roser based on its one knife/fork rating in the Michelin Guide. It was a bit difficult to find and being on a pedestrian-only street, a bit of trouble as it was raining. The entrance and the staff were... More

Reccomended by the hotel this resturant turned out to be great. It's a cosy place with good service and great food. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked.

Very unassuming restaurant serving very good traditional Catalan food. The Bacalau was truly wonderful. I think this is one of the better places to eat in LLeida and would recomend it without hesitation.

Good choice of local dishes. The staff is very expert in wines. After lunch they took the time to advise me on a good selection of tipical wines to bring home. I ended up buying 12 bottles. And the first ones I have tried so far are really great.

We arrived for lunch, which meant we could have their menu del dia for 12 euros (+6 euros supplement for snails). Despite a queue of 30-odd minutes to wait for them to open their basement seating area, we were amply rewarded by the meal that followed. Their plato primero was not particularly outstanding, but however was good quantity of wholesome... More

On return trip to Madrid from Andorra, instead of jumping on the A-2 we decided to explore the city of Lleida. On a Sunday afternoon it was hard to find a place to eat in the old part of town but then we came across El Celler del Roser. Specializing in cod (bacalao) we tried several unique dishes. Cod ravioli... More

Recommended by the hotel, recommended by us. If you are looking for traditional Catalan dishes then this is the place to go. The menue is varied and interesting with the use of quality ingredients at a price that we found favourable considering the city centre location, very importantly the range and cost of wine was a pleasant suprise. Highly recommended

Do not miss this lovely small restaurant just below the Seu Vella (old site) of Lleida city. Staff is charming and helpful. It is a quiet restaurant where you can enjoy your meal. Even though (at midday) there were children having lunch, everybody was very corteous. We tasted the salmon-and-goat-cheese salad, the "cargols de llauna" (snails sautéed in a squared... More

We recently had the pleasure of having both lunch and dinner at El Celler del Roser. The food was terrific. The Goat Cheese salad, the ravioli, the deserts and especially the Bacalao with pignoli and prunes from the Farroe Islands. Sublime!! The service was friendly, attentive and informative. The place is comfortable, cozy and clean. The prices are more than... More
