While I think one has to allow for different styles and comparing a sole meunière to a roasted boar has to be subjective, I do think El Celler de Can Roca is perfection for me. El Bulli was more experimental. I wasn't enthralled by any of the wine parings at El Celler, though they were all correct. I suppose there... More

We were so lucky to get into Celler Can Roca under one month waiting list six months ago, everytime I told my friends that we got the reservation, they all gave me an envious look. On the second day of arriving in Barcelona, we took AVE to Girona. The restaurant is lcoated in a very suburban area with a peaceful... More

After four hours of dining I did not know if one, two or four hours had passed. A dining experience that can make you thus forget about time deserves a big five star. And this is also what makes this excellent value for money too. I can not think of any activitiy that can be so intensely entertaining for a... More

There were moments a little less excellent than sublime. But this would be a petty accusation for what is evidently, one of the best dining experiences of your life. We elected to go with the wines matched with each dish - 18 dishes. 5 hours later, we retired to Armagnac and cigars. WHAT a time. WHAT an experience. Please go.... More

It's all been said so well before. Unique, and amazing food experience. Yes it's a lot of money but once in your life at least, you need to experience food at this level. Service excellent. The restaurant itself light and attractive, and a lovely touch at the end handing us our menu printed with the wines we enjoyed with the... More

Firstly you will be attracted by the fact that you could make a booking no matter the lead time; it matters that you get a booking instead of working phones endlessly. And finally you arrive in Girona; where it is a nice off Barcelona location in the form of a what i would call a small Spanish city; and then... More
