We went on holiday to Girona specifically so we could visit this restaurant. And we weren't disappointed. We took the kids and they loved it too. The restaurant was fantastic with them. Taster menu plus taster wines - we'll never forget our meal. It's become part of our family history. Some photos of the fantastic meal on http://thomaspeck.wordpress.com/2012/09/16/foodies-paradise-in-girona-spain/

We were unexpectedly given the opportunity to join friends for dinner at El Cellar Can Roca and given that the waiting list is around 12 months, we jumped at the chance. The building itself is quite modern and attractive. Tables are spaced well and surround a central space so you don't feel as if you are in one, square, room.... More

Whilst €190 euros per person seems expensive, it is actually tremendous value considering the time, effort and sheer quality of what is presented!! Taken over four hours it was quite simply the best meal I have ever had by a factor of two!! Book now! You'll have a whole year to save the pennies!! But it really was worth it!!!!

I have to start by saying this restaurant was booked 7 months ago and the sole purpose of flying here was for this meal. We had dinner on a Saturday evening and chose the feast menu at €190 per head. I'm going to list all of the things wrong with this place because that's how bad it was. 1) Upon... More

Over recent years I have spent many hours planning trips which have some sort of gastronomic theme at their heart. There are some that make the task easier than others. I booked a table here in the July for dinner the following April, a couple of e-mails and all was confirmed. a good start. This was the last leg of... More

The feast menu had no consistency and none of the dishes are to be remembered. However, I could see people loving it because they have to justify having spent over 300euros each including wine. The service was poor, they brought me the wrong vintage for the wine I selected, the waiter could barely speak English and was incapable of describing... More

In early 2013 I began researching where I might take my lovely husband to celebrate a special birthday dinner later in the year. The obvious choice was the (then) World’s Best Restaurant. However, we happened to watch a documentary on television which highlighted this restaurant’s visit to a prestigious London hotel where guests were served live aunts. As I listened... More

Frankly one of the most memorable meals of my life. We took a cab from Barcelona and the long ride and expensive fair was 100% worth it. This place is magical, it really is. I will never forget starting our evening in the bar sipping on cava, a whimsical presentation of caramelized stuffed olives brought to our table, dangling from... More

I made our booking for Can Roca in March of 2013 before the restaurant awards were announced. Whew, if I’d left it a month a Saturday night booking in February this year would be impossible. We have enjoyed the delights of the highly talented Roca brothers before, lunch in 2010 and at that time were able to get a table... More
