lost my group in Girona, but found a restaurant

My friends wanted to walk the wall, and I can't handle heights, so I agreed to meet them on the other end of the wall walk. Girona is full of stairways, and I never found the right one to connect with my friends. So on my own I ended up at Museu d'Art, which was wonderful. Upon leaving I asked... read more

I can't say that I found great food in this restaurant. I think it was quite average. However, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. I should mention that the calamary they served as a starter was great. But it didn't continue with the main dish. However, if you visit the centre of Girona Casa Marieta can be a good... More

Whenever there's a friend visiting my city I always recommend this restaurant. Good prices and better food! Reserve a table if you want to avoid queueing.

For a taste of old dishes and old style of restaurant, then go here to get a taste of history. It is not new, young fresh cuisine, but the old standards done like old standards. That leaves a lot to be desired, especially when nearby are a few inventive restaurants. But don't kid yourself, some new places that look fresh,... More

Not the hottest or modern decor but instead a very warm and cozy spot that serves such a delicious Sweet Onion Tuna Steak and "Bacalao" dish that deserves to be ordered twice by my family. Friendly service also adds to our nice experience at this restaurant. A must "Go" if you stop and visit this lovely city.

Our dinner here was everything we could want. Sat outside on the pretty and busy Placa Independencia. Good service was efficient and pleasant. We had the Veal sirloin with foix gras and the grilled squid. Both excellent. Reasonable prices too. Would definitely repeat.

Tasty food and good choice of local dishes & quality house wine at reasonable prices. Helpful staff. Attention to decor detail - even hooks by seats to hang hats / bags or, in my case, my walking stick.

I can't believe how highly this is ranked on TripAdvisor! I also feel like an idiot for not walking straight out of the door when we saw the outdated interior and heard the terrible piped music... But hindsight is a wonderful thing. We had the macaroni gratin to start (cheap penne, cheap ragout, congealed cheese) and the hake and chicken... More

Nice place and good food. We ordered the special menu (on saturday) for all of us. One of the best options in this town. There're a lot of restaurants, of course, but less options with this prices and this quality.

Went for dinner on recommendation by our hotel host (who had made several really good recommendations). What a disappointment! The service was poor, server and staff were arrogant, which I understand is norm in Girona. However, when I asked him about the sauce for the entrecot i ordered, he told me among other things that "we've been here for a... More
