After visiting Girona,we stopped by this cute restaurant for lunch. This is a small place with about 12 inside tables. The only negative would be the service can be slow as everything is prepared by one chef, but it is worth the wait. You would pay at least 3 times the price any where else.THE 3 courses are 10 E during the week and... I don't understand why this restaurant isn't higher up the ratings? We spotted it last year on a day trip to Girona but our train times back to Flaca meant that we were unable to eat there. At 10 euros for 3 courses at lunchtime midweek, starters and mains being freshly cooked to order (desserts being easier to prep in... More

We can absolutely recommend this small restaurant. We went there for lunch and had their 3-course menu, which only cost 10€. You cannot expect much for that price, but the food was absolutely good! Homemade and tasty! The waiter was very kind and helpful. Go there!

My wife and I found this little treasure by accident in the old town of Girona. The foods were well prepared - simple and luxurious. The service was first class - much better than far more expensive restaurants. The atmosphere is informal and yet elegant. We went back two days in a row. We would have been happy to go... More

No need to search for a good meal near the cathedral, just stop at this little patio that looks like every other tourist trap but that is not one! Surprise, surprise! We experienced some great fresh fish, some local tapas, some traditional catalan...funny enough, all well executed, served with efficiency, coordinated nicely (for a group of 6 guests), good inexpensive... a great find! just below the Cathedral near the "Cul de la Lleona statue. This little restaurant is a great place to eat. 10 euro menu was fantastic. I had the asparagus with prawns and egg, follwed by Catfish, then Lemon ice-cream to finish. But all the meals in the party were good..I tried them all. The owners were lovely... More

I've only been here for 2 months and have managed to visit here 3 times now. I love the cosy mix & match decor and general atmosphere. Tucked away near the cathedral it's easy to walk past and completely miss it - don't. The tapas hits the spot every time and even the dishes which sound boring and simple always... More

El cul de la lleona has recently changed owners. It's a small restaurant, very cozy and dark. At the weekend they offer a lunch menu for €15, 3 dishes and drinks included. We were not very hungry though, so we decided to order a la carte. My husband had the 'galtas' with roated potatoes (€7,50) which were good but a... More
