Nice quiet terrace tapas good selection perhaps a bit too much bread-based. Good for a quick bite to eat.

Good way to try and discover new dishes. The staff was kind and helpful. Une bonne façon de découvrir de nouveau plat. Personnel souriant et attentionné.

Great atmosphere. Casual. Pick your tapas from the bar and they will total up by dishes and toothpicks. Noisy, busy atmospheric.

We couldn't understand the menu but the entrees, mains, and desserts were delicious! The wine was also great and included in this 11 euros too.

This tapas bar is fun, popular and busy despite its odd location under an overhead highway. Nonetheless, it has masses of rustic charm and friendly staff who will bend over to make sure you get what you want. It is pronounced "cho- laka". Local sparkling wine is poured into tumblers from a great height by the waiters. Choose from a... More

This is lovely place to eat with two options depending on your mood. If you just want to pick at the numerous different pintxos then you help yourself directly from the bar where they are all displayed just remembering to keep the cocktail sticks as thats how they will calculate your bill. Everything is very fresh and very nicely presented.... More

If you like relaxed dining, picking at tapas and having some fun, then this is the place for you. There is plenty of free parking around here, although in the summer it might get a bit hectic, and it's v close to the centre for shops and so on. There is a terrace for summer dining. The place opens a... More

We walked two miles from Palau de Bellavista and it was worth it! We arrived an hour before the afternoon break therefore only one or two of pintxos left. The manager was apologetic and invited us to come back at 7:30 when the food bar would be fully replenished. We decided to stay and picked eskabetx and other pintxos

Txalaka is a Basque tapas restaurant. There a slew of choices which you choose and pay for like a dim sum restaurant. All the ones we tried were very good. The room is nice and the customers mostly local people. And the frizzy white wine poured from a height is a perfect accompaniment t for a seafood-leaning set of choices.

As a great fan of Basque "pintxos" I thought that I had tasted the best outside San Sebastián, but then I went to Txalaka! The "pintxos" are excellent, with a wide range to be sampled at €1.60 each, which is good value. Sidra and txacoli are available at €2.00 and €2.10 respectively per copa. There is also a restaurant area... More
