We stumbled on Llevataps not quite by accident but not really by design. We had another restaurant in mind for lunch but saw this and thought it looked good so we gave it a try. Thank goodness we did. It is not big, probably 26 covers, but is bright and buzzy. We ate at the dining bar, looking out onto... More

Went here as a family and was very impressed with the whole experience. It was duing the fires festival so we enjoyed the set menu which included several starters followed by a delicious main and desert. All dishes were well presented and thoughtfully prepared which made the whole experience very pleasant. Children were well catered for.

We were recommended here by the hotel for good tapas and like some other reviewers we were a bit confused by the menu where the prices are more like main course prices eg 14 euros. We were also a bit thrown that they weren't open to serve lunch until after two but that's probably just our lack of Spanish know... More

Very stylish minimalist décor within old stone building. Food is unusual, beautifully presented and inventive as well as being very tasty, nicely presented. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Hadn't read any reviews before so had no expectations. Menu looked interesting so took a chance. The chicken mushroom and truffle ravioli was tasteless and full of tiny bones. My steak was raw and the apple based 'struddle' side added nothing -the blandness was rescued by a crumb of blue cheese. My partner had lamb but again there was a... More

We came across this place by chance. It was midweek, we were hungry and it was quite late and we had to wait for a table - so expectations were high that it MUST be good. It took a while to get to grips with the style. Some people were ordering as per a normal meal and others, as we... More

We ate here twice during our stay in Girona. On our first (midweek) visit the restaurant was very quiet, and lacked atmosphere; but when we returned on the Friday night, it was a different story altogether........all the tables. along with the counter seats, were occupied with what appeared to be mostly regular customers and there was a nice buzz. The food... More

A small menu is always a good sign that the cook is well-practised at the dishes, I reckon, and we weren't disappointed here. There are some organic options included. It's mostly food that can be cooked on the griddle eg turbot with scalloped potatoes, but also some tasty combos like tartare of salmon with strawberries. Contemporary decor and pleasant staff.... Although it's difficult these days to eat badly in Spain (except perhaps in the main tourist areas), I'm sure that this must be one of the best places around. On a Sunday evening it was full and we were glad to have made a reservation. Girona is a lovely city and its range of excellent restaurants are an added attraction.... More
