Very good place

We went to eat twice in this place, choosing everytime 2 menus of 18/19 euros with different dishes. I would have rated 5* after the 1st time since the food was really great. 2nd time, it was good, sure, but not amazing like 1st time. Globally, it's anyway a quite nice place with good service.

We stumbled upon Vinil in the historic quarter of Girona and gave it a try, we were definitely not disappointed. The staff were very friendly, the food was attractively presented and tasted great. We were not sure what to eat for desert, so asked our waitress to pick several local dishes for us, which were lovely. She also introduced us... More

Tourist trap. Quality of the food was horrible. Anchoves were not from la escala for sure. And the butifarra was the worst taste i could imagine for a usually delicious food.

Hi, Our new team at Vinil have started in August and would like to offer you the opportunity to try out our new quality menu. We regret your experience was not good due to having visited the restaurant during the complicated days of transfer of ownership, but we can now proudly say we have a great menu at a great... More

We found this restaurant quite by chance before heading back to the airport to catch our flight home. We took the €11.90 menu which offered a drink, bread, starter, main course and dessert. The food was simple, beautifully cooked and tasted superb. I had macaroni with a homemade pesto sauce for starter followed by a delicious tower of fresh vegetables... More

I found Vinil Restaurant through Tripadvisor and it did not disappoint. End of September they open for lunch from 1 - 4pm. The gal that runs the front of the restaurant is just delightful. They were running an 11 euros lunch with two courses. The first time I had Arabian kebobs in humus...oh my goodness, the herbs and flavors were... More

Starter of aubergine timbale with sundried tomatoes and mozzarella (except they had run out, so it was Roquefort) was ok but uninspiring. They had run out of my main choice of fresh fish, but the seared tuna in sesame seeds with a soy sauce was large lumps raw in the centre (not to everybody's taste) served with a little shredded... Went there by myself on the 10th June in the evening about 9pm. Delightful waitress but disgusting food. I ordered a salad that was unremarkable and Tescos would have been 100 times better. I ordered Duck Magret and 3 small pieces of Duck arranged on top of each other swimming in a thin sauce--the duck pieces was raw. I paid... More

The food is not bad, but the portions are microscopic, and the drinks are not included to the menu (be aware!)

We chose to have the set menu€18.95. My cheese salad was excellent, followed by a brilliant cuttle fish risotto. Then desert was a superb panna cotta. The whole experience was delightful.
