Was lucky enough to be introduced to this place by a local, I doubt you would find it by chance. Fantastically interesting range of food, great wine and really good service. I'll be back!

Went with our family and three kids. Really nice to share some tapas with flavors off the normal track. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

This is primarily a wine bar, but they serve gourmet tapas as well. First impression is, that the designer of the interior of the restaurant must have had a really good time, as some of the lamps are wine bottles with feathers in birdcages and they use half-empty wine glasses as decoration on the wall. The interior is at the... More

After reading about this restaurant we decided to go early when the place opened as we did not have reservations. It was very conveniently located for us , only 5 minutes walking distance from our hotel. Everything we ordered was delicious, we especially enjoyed the cava and cheese plate. The anchovies with the tomato on bread was very fresh and... More

We had dinner here one night in May, and we would definitely go back. Food was excellent, quite creative, and they have some pre-set tapas menus that will save some money, time, and stress about what to order. The staff and service were good, and they were happy to help with some recommendations as well. It's not cheap, but it... More

A bright an modern atmosphere serving "contemporary" tapas as opposed to classic. The clientele was a mixture of tourists and locals and the place was full. A sampling of the dishes ordered were cod with black garlic, lamb and a 2.5 minute egg. Everything was served luke warm and had no real flavor to speak of. The lamb was about... More

I visited Cata 1.81 with my young family and really enjoyed the evening. The food was well thought out, different from the usual tapas offered but most importantly, full of flavour. In addition to the food we enjoyed one of the best bottles of wine I have had in a long time (for €20). I'd probably not advise this as... More

I discovered Cata 1.81 many years ago and year after year I keep going there almost every month at least. And on every occasion like it even better than on the previous one. I like the place, the people, their excellent wine selection (which is always possible to drink by the glass) and, of course, the food. From the most... More
