Loved my experience here. 1st course, main course and dessert for €5,10. And the food was delicious, the dessert looked like gourmet kind of restaurant. Okk, if you go there to eat lobster do not expect it to be cheap.. not there nor anywhere. Staff very helpful and nice. I'm going to Barcelona here in 5 days, after my 1st... More

There was a lady in front who enticed us to dine in this restaurant. She was very polite, cheerful and accommodating. Also, they have a set menu for a paella and 2 tapas which got us very interested. We were seated and the waiter took our order right away. I was quite surprised about the terrible reviews of this restaurant... More

The food was acceptable. The service lousy, the waiter and other personnel, unfriendly. The guy at the door was very welcoming. Discussed a dish on special, on a photo. When we ordered it, the dish came without ANY ANY side order that was described in the menu. When I asked the waiter, without not even a smile, this is what... More

Great service and very nice ambiance in the heart of La Rambla. We had paella and sangria and a couple tapas it was more than enough! Great time

A friend and I had an impromptu trip to Barcelona last weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. The only negative, that stuck out like a sore thumb, was a visit to El Choquito. After walking down La Rambla we noticed a billboard with Churros and chocolate sauce. Having been walking all day we thought this sounded like heaven so we... More

I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews of El Choquito, as I thought it was a great little place. The bar/restaurant is located opposite the main entrance to the famous La Bocqueria market on La Rambla. It doesn't look very inviting from the outside, but upon entering you are greeted by a long bar full of great... More

Upon arrival in Barcelona and taking a wander down to La Rambla we were keen to try some tapas and sangria. You're spoilt for choice of where to eat in this area and many restaurants employ someone to try and tempt you in from the street (often without taking no for an answer). We plumped for El Choquito and found... More

They have clearly spent a lot of money on the restaurant and it looks very smart. The food on show also looks appealing. However, this was betrayed by the waiters who were indifferent, verging on rude and the food, which was below standard. We had individual paellas which were mostly rice with virtually no seafood in them at all. We... More

****WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!***** We went there on a Monday morning to get breakfast. We were greeted by two ladies who looked at us in a very unwelcoming way. Then came this obnoxious waiter named Alex. At first he looked like a fun guy but after a couple of minutes we started seeing his rude mannerisms. He asked us where we... More

It's a disaster. Food is just not good, it's expensive and waiters are not even spanish. It was the worst gazzpacho and the worst paella I have ever eaten. Please avoid!!!
