Have a break for tapas and beer

A nice place hidden near Passeig de Gracia. It's a great place if you want to take a break from running around town and just enjoy the atmosphere - local food, local beer, local people. Be sure to order the deep fried green peppers and mushroom croquetas - really, really tasty.

Sol Soler is very nice local place witch really delicious and not expensive tapas. It’s a really busy place so if you want quiet restaurant for a date go somewhere else but if you like lively atmosphere this is a place for you. Perfect for a chat with friends over vine or beer.

I was told of this place by a person studying in Barcelona, and boy was I glad for it! It is not particularly big, rather simply decorated, and the service is fairly fast and friendly with the tapas being excellent portion sizes for the money you pay for them. It's also much cheaper than any other tapas place you're likely... More

Off the main strip in a local small restaurant is this quaint little local restaurant! Food was just like your mum would make if she was from Barcelona!

Great place if you're looking for something local, cheap and with great service. We were even given shots gratis at the end of the evening. Well done Sol Soler!

Stayed in Vila de Gracia and stumbled upon this absolutely fantastic little tapas bar, warm friendly staff and beautifully cooked fresh tapas, as the title suggests the patatas Bravas were my absolute fave, but nothing we ordered was short of delicious! The chicken wings in soy sauce were lovely, as was the aubergine lasagne and blue cheese and spinach frittata...... More

Sol Soler was recommended to me by a local when I was visiting Barcelona and I am so pleased we went. The restaurant was full of locals chilling out, having tapas and beer and the atmosphere was buzzing. The tapas were a fair price and tasted good.

The food is mixture of unique homemade dishes and tapas classics, and they also have a good variety for vegetarians too as I've come here with a mixed group and everyone was happy. The quiches are amazing, and make a really nice change from the typical tapas all over Barcelona, friends have claimed these to be the best bravas in... More

Great food and service in the corner of a lovely square. Local and friendly - no 'Ramblas attitude' or supplements. A really great lunch for 9 of us, very reasonable, and delicious.

Love this place as it seems more local and wow the price is right after days if not weeks of paying way too much for way too much in the med. As a tourist it was a breath of fresh air. Beyond kind staff and most timely service we have had in Spain. I would recommend if you are tired... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
