If it had not been for the recommendation of a good friend we would probably not have looked for it / found it. As we arrived quite early (just had flown in in the morning and wanted and early dinner) we had the place all to ourselves. The staff was very friendly and helpful (only problem was with the English... More

We dropped in to Restaurante Carbelleira at 9.30pm and easily got a table for 3. However, the place was full by the time we left. The seafood in the display cabinet is fresh and we enjoyed 3 mains-the oven baked monkfish with onion and potato, octopus and scampi. The bottle of spanish white wine was terrific. 2 desserts and a... More

Classic fish restaurant, on side street just back from sea in Barceloneta. Late on a summer Friday (10.30pm) it was mostly locals eating. Good fish but lacking in atmosphere. More somewhere to eat and move on than to kick back and relax.

A trademark of Galicia cuisine is that it is of very good quality and simple cooking I mean no elaborate recipes. This restaurant fulfills the expectation for a good meal. We asked for sole meuniere for 4 persons, we were surprised the fish was served crispy fried filets instead of grilled, on a bed of meuniere sauce, never mind the... More

This is a great fish restaurant, if you're in fish a must to visit. Maybe a bit hard to find, cropped away in a little street, but worth the search. The restaurant is friendly from the inside and re-painted recently but the chairs (a little bit uncomfortable) are still there. However the food is great and served with a smile.... More

Popped in to this small cosy restaurant close to the beach . Alive seafood to choose from at the table. This is a place where local people go so try it you will like it .

Very good fish restaurant, nice service, very clean and a big variety of fish. I loved the Squid a la galega. My table friends were a bit disapointed as as the quantity in their plates was concerned. anyway, we would all recommened it.

On our recent trip to Barcelona, we went with some friends that had a clear vacation plan. Eat and party their way through Barcelona; and so we ended up at Carballeira. First of all, the restaurant is located in a very central part of Barcelona, but not on any main street, so I would recommend you get some very good... More

recommended to us by staff in the hotel, tucked away up a little street, very unimposing from outside, but lots of small dining areas inside.Once again lovely white starched tablecloths, and waiters with white starched aprons, who all seemed to be involved in putting the finishing touches to the food before it left the kitchen. This is a fish restaurant filled with local people rather then...
