We were recommended to eat here from a local. We had amazing paella. Period can't say anymore if you want paella with mixed fish eat here. The staff was so friendly and nice also.

We were sent away impolitely because we had a very small dog puppy! I don't understand why this city is so much against pets.

Went there with high expectations but never what a dissapointment. We went ther for the paella that is supposed to be the best. Wel, the one we ordered had absolutely no taste at all and so we ended up paying a lot of money for a very bad meal

I usually don't write reviews but do not go to this place if you are looking for "the best" paella. I live in Spain and a friend recommended this place for their paella. It was edible, but very salty. I've had paella about 10 times in Barcelona and this was in the bottom five. Also, the restaurant does not smell... More

So many fabulous restaurants offering paella in Barcelona but this one, Cheriff, really tops them all! Absolutely amazingly tasteful seafood paella! Personally I am not exactly a huge fan of paella but since I have so many international friends visiting Barcelona and wanting to eat paella I find myself more often than not taking them out to eat paella. Cheriff... More

After reading about this restaurant 4 of us decided to try it to get ``the best seafood paella`` in Barcelona. Ordered Cheriff Paella`s for 4 and a bottle of wine and tab was 90Euro. Thought maybe their good write ups here and elsewhere may have gone to their head and they were just pumping out rice dishes with some prawns... More

This place is so popular among the locals we had difficulty finding a table but the staff was very friendly and we managed to sit and have the best paella in the world! everything was very fresh. Always trust a place where the locals go.

The mussels were some of the best I have ever had and the grilled baby crayfish were fresh and delicious. Whilst we enjoyed the paella very much it wasn't something I need to have again. We had the Cheriff special and it had plenty of seafood but the simple way they prepared the appetizers was fabulous! Ok and a pet... More

Myself and a group of friends went to this restaurant on the recommendation that it served some of the best seafood paella in the city and we were not disappointed. We shared a selection of salad, mussels and Andalusian squid to start with which was more than enough for the seven of us with the mussels in particular being a... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
