Unforutnately agree to other prior reviews!!!

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. Food terrible, service awful, place smelly? Do not even think about eating here.

Looked interesting and inviting from the outside, being set in one of the numerous alleyways in El Born. Our table was in a dark, dingy and dirty room with wallpaper about to fall from the ceiling. The menus were covered in grease spots and should have been a wake -up call. Three COLD Lebanese chicken curries had to be sent... More

We stumbled on this place whilst meandering the back streets looking for something to eat one evening that wasn't tapas or paella. It looked cosy enough and there were several tables occupied, plus they had a fixed price menu - €14.95 pp for two courses plus a drink and bread (that should have warned us). The waiter was friendly enough... More

I don't recognize the comments about this restaurant. We choose the lunchmenu (between 14 hours and 16 hours) Lovely food. Big salad als first course with fresh spinach, goat cheese and other vegetables. With a toch of balsamico vinegar. Maincourse fish with a special potatoe also with fresh salad. Dessert icecream and a very good chocolatecake. Unfortunately is the waiter... More

We found this restaurant in a narrow street in El Born, looking for a place to eat lunch. This place looked like a nice place and we chose a lunch menu. The food was disappointing and tasteless. For starter we had pasta with some kind of meat and for the main course we had steak. Everything suffered from lack of... More

We regret that we didn't check the Tripadvisor before we entred this restaurant. They had a lunchmenu offer. 9,50 € . 2 course meal with beverages that we wanted to try. This was the worst food we have eaten in Barcelona ever. The food tasted awful! So stay away from this restaurant.

So you know that open sewer smell you get in some cities? That's what greets you when you enter this place. It's fetid, foul and how it can be deemed hygienic is beyond me. For fear of offending my gracious host I stayed quiet. I was part of a large group and although the restaurant was quiet, we made up... More

A great menu for a great price. A small intimate restaurant that offers great food on its set menu for a great price. They also give you loads of wine. The fun will be finding it twice.

That's a typical restaurant made just to catch the tourist, so he will pay a lot for nothing to eat. 12 euro for "Paella", which means a lot of Rice, and 2 little shrimps. Calamares were ok, and the service as well, but still, there are MUCH better places to eat in Barcelona for the same price.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
