Fun Decor, Good Sangria, Food's A Toss Up

Nuria was recommended to us based on tour books given to us at the hotel where we stayed in Barcelona. It is a cute place, with a deco feel, right in the hub of things on Rambla Canaletas. We ordered Sangria to start based on the recommendation of some young men who had the table next to us. It... read more

From our large student/adult traveling group, a small group of us broke off in search of Paella for lunch. We found this little restaurant with one hour to have lunch. We were seated immediately with 11 of us and assigned our own waiter. Restaurant was clean, comfortable and food was tasty. Mid-range pricing. Timing was everything, Paella takes about 25... More

Went in on the basis that it was busy so should be popular. Not the best logic! Shepherded upstairs then sat at a table that hadn't been completely cleaned/reset while other tables were available. Ordered drinks....the beer and coke turned up but had to ask for the wine twice. Given the menu, which did not contain the tapas option that... More

Had lunch outside . Simple tasty burger for me and shrimp salad for my wife. We were very happy with the value and service. However, my wife developed a bad stomach 3 hours later and we can only assume there was an issue with the shrimps.

I was very dubious at first as it is in the tourist hotspot but I was busting for the toilet (too much beer) so we popped in for a drink and decided to try a dish each. My partner really wanted to try the octopus dish but unfortunately they had sold out so he settled on a cod omelette and... More

We had a salad with goat cheese, that was ok. Then some burgers, they were dry and the fries soft. They do it far better on burger king, so try something else!

We had our final group dinner downstairs in this restaurant. The street entrance doesn't look like much but the food was very good as was the service.

It’s my own fault. I went to El Classico the day before and was so excited I didn’t eat for 24 hours. The next morning I was starving and went looking for a hot breakfast. Stupidly I went into this restaurant on the Rambla on the basis it said it served English Breakfast for close on 9 Euros. The coffee... More
