I loved Sesamo! This is a charming little restaurant serving inventive vegetarian food in Barcelona. My husband and I tried the tasting menu and loved everything we had. Definitely recommend for vegetarians and meat-eaters! In fact, I recommended this restaurant to some friends that recently travelled to Barcelona and they also enjoyed it!

On a small, narrow street this tiny restaurant/bar served amazing veggie food to us. All of it was lovely and fresh. Am glad we were the first in with an early booking as it got very busy later on with many waiting at the bar in front. Service is excellent and friendly and the prices very good. Will definitely be... More

Our vegan daughter chose this restaurant on our first night in Barcelona. We were not sure what to expect when we arrived. The front of the restaurant is more of a bar and it was empty. The nice man who welcomed us in led us to the back room where we were seated at a table that had a view... More

For sure one of the top vegetarian restaurant in Barcelona, simple food but great taste. The tasting menu was perfect, you get to try a lot of the main dishes and you won't leave hungry !

Sometimes it's extremely difficult finding good vegetarian food in foreign cities so I was a little apprehensive booking this for my girlfriend and I. I was not disappointed in the slightest with an incredible set menu that represented some of the best value I have experienced in Europe. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone (meat eater or not) in Barcelona.

As a vegetarian I often have to make do with somewhat boring meals at 'normal' restaurants but my daughter and I recently spend a couple of days in Barcelona and were recommended to go to Sésamo restaurante. We opted for the taster meal and what a delight it was, each course was excellent and I am so disappointed I am... More

I am a carnivore at heart, but I have to admit that my vegetarian meal at Sesamo was possibly my favorite meal in Barcelona. The tasting menu was sensational and creative - making me completely forget about my carnivorous nature. I was especially blown away by the mushroom croquettes and the baked cauliflower. I would definitely return and have recommended... More

Everything was absolutely delicious in Sesamo during our visit, but fried artichokes and pepper were totally a number one. We also got shots of gaspacho with strawberries as a courtesy of the house, it was very nice as well. They have good wines and beers, the staff was super friendly and attentive.

I've visited many cities and ate in even more vegetarian Restaurants but this is my absolute favorite. The quality for the price is absolutely amazing, the staff is nice and helpful. If you are more then two I definitely recommend to reserve a table.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
