Good one

Good restaurant of Basque cuisine. MAke sure you are first in line if you want to have some tapas at 20.30, it gets packed soon. In case you sit at the table you can have some directly served to you, or you may have some at the bar before going to you table. I've tried some seafood and meat as... read more

While in Barcelona, we had already visited three tapas restaurants which served the traditional and expected small plates of food. Taktika Berri, on the other hand, offers a totally different experience. Each little tapas is like a French amuse bouche, or one mouthful of food which delivers great taste. At the end, you pay by the toothpick! It is important... More

My partner and I have frequently been to Donostia ( San Sebastian) in the Basque country and have some favourite spots for pinxos so it was a delight to find this place in Barcelona and it's certainly worth a visit. The bar had many locals and regulars which is always a great sign. We got there just as it opened... More

The restaurant is in a posh part of L'eixample, so you would expect it to be expensive. It is a bad mixture of tapas and restaurant. That means that apart from having to slide through dozens of people sitting on the bar, when you finally sit in your table and you ask for the food, the rations are small and... More

I had spent 3 days earlier in July in San Sebastián, and fell in love with pintxos (please don't call them tapas) there. When I returned to Barcelona, I got a craving for them and managed to find this bar/restaurant, where the cooks reportedly are from San Sebastián. I didn't try the restaurant but managed to get a seat at... More

As recommended, the 2 of us arrived 15 minutes early (8:15pm) and the doors opened promptly at 8:30pm. We were able to sit at the "bar" and ate tapas and drank the house wine. Take the advice of others and dont eat so much right out of the gate (although it's not the worst thing!) as some great hot meats... More

Perhaps the tapas/pintxos are around the same level as other well-rated places, yet I remember them rather more fondly, as if they had some kind of edge to them. Thought they were fantastic. We also ate a lot of them, drank 3-4 glasses of wine and paid slightly over 30 Euros each. The red wine I asked for was apparently... More

setting: It is a restaurant with a bar right on the entry. Don't expect views. Public Parking close. Setup and furniture was pleasing. Food: Now we talk. We had Tronco de Merluza. We were delighted. Lightly fried in olive oil with garlic and potatoes. You also don't go wrong with Jamon and the tortilla as an opener. As an appetizer... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
