Best Pintxos In Town

I had spent 3 days earlier in July in San Sebastián, and fell in love with pintxos (please don't call them tapas) there. When I returned to Barcelona, I got a craving for them and managed to find this bar/restaurant, where the cooks reportedly are from San Sebastián. I didn't try the restaurant but... read more

As recommended, the 2 of us arrived 15 minutes early (8:15pm) and the doors opened promptly at 8:30pm. We were able to sit at the "bar" and ate tapas and drank the house wine. Take the advice of others and dont eat so much right out of the gate (although it's not the worst thing!) as some great hot meats... More

Perhaps the tapas/pintxos are around the same level as other well-rated places, yet I remember them rather more fondly, as if they had some kind of edge to them. Thought they were fantastic. We also ate a lot of them, drank 3-4 glasses of wine and paid slightly over 30 Euros each. The red wine I asked for was apparently... More

setting: It is a restaurant with a bar right on the entry. Don't expect views. Public Parking close. Setup and furniture was pleasing. Food: Now we talk. We had Tronco de Merluza. We were delighted. Lightly fried in olive oil with garlic and potatoes. You also don't go wrong with Jamon and the tortilla as an opener. As an appetizer... More

You have hundreds of places to taste montaditos/pintxos in Barcelona, but believe me these ones are the best. If you can have a table (usually you have to book), don't miss el revuelto de hongos, chuleton and tronco de merluza...

This family owned venue appears like one of typical tapas but has also a very elegant restaurant room. Tapas appear really in the basque tradition although other tapas places in Barcelona give a more colorful environment. We tried the restaurant, no hope if you have not a reservation. Our entries were an omelette with cod, really good with a delicate... More

... Or rather, " should not be basking in their FORMER glory." The phrase "bitterly disappointed" only scrapes the surface of how my partner and I felt dining at this place tonight. We stumbled upon it after watching older people tumble out of the front doors laughing and carrying on and knew instantly we had found a "locals only" place.... More

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
