Crazy prices, slow service, bad food. Don't come here. We were waiting for ages, sangrias is a cheap one, potato? We've got a bag of chips instead of french fries..

Very frendly staff, the bes pan con tomate that you can have in barcelona, well, the one in roca bar is amazing as well. Get some chipirones. Its expensive but very good quality. If you cross around the boqueria, have a quick bite here.

Nice relaxed lunch 10 steps away from the bustling market. Food fresh and tasty as you'd expect. Not overly pricy but not the cheapest around either. Friendly staff even when busy. I'm going back.

Located on a sunny square just to the right of the Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria. A couple of tables with shady umbrellas, a bar with drinks and a (very) small inside alcove with two small tables. This restaurant is always full - we found it virtually impossible to get a table outside! The staff were not overtly... More

Great spot at the boqueria market were you cab seat in the sun with a glass of wine, beer or coffee, and enjoy some tapes while watching at the beautiful and colorful market. Wonderful place to start your day in Barcelona

Located on the edge of the sprawling Ramblas Market this little gem hits the spot. Little English spoken here (no English menu) but for the adventurous you can handily navigate the menu with pointers from the friendly staff. Tender aubergine tempura, crisp calamari, tender oxtail braised in red wine, tasty tomato bread, salad with goat cheese, and terrific beer on... More

After wandering around the amazing La Boqueria we wanted somewhere slightly quieter to eat than the bars in the market and found this place just behind. Great service and despite the fact that it was our most expensive lunch Euros 50 for three of us, the food was spectacularly good - I mean really good. Ate tomato bread, gambas a... More

I couldn't agree less with the opinion of Paula1313. I have been living in Barcelona for 10 years, coming regularly to Papitu and have never been disappointed. It is also one of our favourites when visitors come and are exploring the area close to the Boqueria market. Here are some of the reasons why we love coming to Papitu: -... More

Found this little locals tapas bar by accident next to a municipal market just off The Ramblas in Barcelona. Good food and drink. Standard prices but very friendly and probably much cheaper than eating on The Ramblas. Would definitely go back.

My husband and I were looking for a good restaurant at La Boqueria but nothing inside the famous market appealed to us - especially the price. I always go with Rick Steve's recommendation to find a restaurant not within the touristy area but a little off the beaten track - and with only the local language written in chalk on... More
