This restaurant is a gigantic tourist trap. The food was horrible (overcooked or not fried at all), we discussed this with the manager, proposed him to taste the food himself (which he didn't want to) and arrived to an agreement (to leave without having to pay the bill). A restaurant to avoid by all means!

This place was fantastic and so friendly. I came here with my friends for lunch after a hot day of walking around. The staff was super friendly and had lovely recommendations. The sangria was out of this world. I think we ordered everything on the menu because it all sounded so good. We started out with fried calamari, shrimp cooked... More

Location and food are fantastic. May be one of the best Paellas in Barcelona. Fresh seafood and fish. Not very cheap.

We tried a few of the restaurants by the ocean at Barceloneta and this was the best, so we went back a few times. Dishes are not extraordinary but we found them ranging from good to excellent: Consistently good mussels and navajas, very good parrillada de marisco and rape, more than decent fidegua. Salads and the chocolate bomb desert are... More

Seated quickly, served straight away. Lovely fresh seafood. Try the salad with cuttlefish curls and razor clams for starters, paella for main. Good selection of wines. Great beachside venue.

We went there 2 times and it is the best place we found in Barcelona. The menu is affordable and delicious. The service is good and the view beautiful. If you do not want to a risk, this is the place to go.

This restaurant is very well located by the sea in a very comfortable setting. However parking might be an issue. Food is not even acceptable by catalan standards. Service is very good but will not compensate the rest. And the icing on the cake, prices way above local average. So all in all, very poor value for money. There are... More

My husband and I are in Barcelona for a long weekend, and were looking for a nice traditional beach side bar for a lunchtime tapas. We found this little place, which prided itself on it's seafood. We were provided with olives and bread whilst we looked at the menu, which were free when it came to payment time. We has... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
