Pool, cheap booze and popcorn!

Thanks to my handy guidebook, I was advised for cheap booze look for a dive bar in the backstreets. And just off the La Rambla we found this absolute gem! We'd enjoyed some time having some drinks in one of the sunny squares, so we were happy to retreat into the dingy darkness of this wooden cave... read more

Great Sangrias and bottomless complimentary popcorn, which is awesome! Located in a great part of town but ONLY if you go to the one on 5 Sitges....NOT Zamora. To be fair, I did not go inside to the one on Zamora mostly because the place looked like it did not exist. It is far as hell and not the area... More

This is a tucked away rock bar that's relaxed and informal. The furniture is old worm chairs and long tables, designed to be relaxed and communal. The staff are friendly here, and they serve small bowls of popcorn with each drink, which is much appreciated after a few. They also have pool and foosball if you feel inclined. The music... More

This is def a must go bar in Barcelona, as you have no idea of what you'll find when you find the door. It's easy to walk pass without noticing it or wanting to go in. I only did as I was with a friend who knows the area. It's a massive area, loads of happy drinkers, deco that reminds... More

Pretty easy to find if you know where to look, even though it is tucked away off the street. You walk into a larger beer hallish place with long wood tables and high ceilings. It has this great vibe with everyone there obviously enjoying themselves, whether it be playing pool or having pitchers of sangria. We ordered too much food... More

After a bit if a struggle to find the place, me and my friends had a great night celebrating my 21st. Not to far from La Rambla, the main stretch with lots of bars and restaurants, a decent selection of drinks, with San Miguel coming in what I can only describe as a bucket on stilts with taps. Would recommend... More

- This is a german style pub where you can go and have a relatively cheap drink. - It is full of students and young people so have that in mind. - It is a descent place if you want to get started there but generally speaking - it's a relaxed atmosphere - It does worth a try and it... More

A great spot to have a few (to many) drinks in Barcelona. Really good atmosphere and a place to meet other travellers and locals. I did see the security get a wee but rough with some louder patrons who were only having fun but other than that a brilliant place.

This is the worst pub i've ever tried to get in in my whole life. The "bodyguard" at the entrance was so unpolite and arrogant.

Staying in Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica

Neighborhood Profile
Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica
The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
