Beautiful desserts but terrible tea

This place does really have the most beautiful desserts on display. I chose an amazing strawberry and chocolate tart which was amazing. What was not amazing however, was the flavourless tea which accompanied my dessert. I enjoyed my time here nonetheless.

Again, on advise, we visited. The downstairs area is just beautiful. With its own kitchen and cake display it was ideal. Each of us choose a different cake then we tasted each there was no clear winner as we loved them all. easy to find using Google maps but very small frontage. Apparently, the cakes are baked by a monastery.... More

Caelum was a delightful stop during our visit to the Barri Gotic section of Barcelona. It's a tea shop with delicious pastries, coffees, and teas. A small, but charming, gift shop filled with delectable cookies and cakes is attached to the tea shop. The place holds a lot of history in the Jewish quarter and is a very interesting place... More

Caleum is a small gem for sweets lovers :) I had a great trouble with deciding what to order. Everything was just looking so tasty! The good thing is that you can order a small treats (not just a proper cakes). That way we could enjoy quite a few delights. Atmosphere is very nice as well-a bit like a magical... More

This place is a very nice coffee place where great choice of warm drinks and cakes. Place is very nice when it is not very busy so I recommend coming during the week (I imagine weekends is not that nice when place is full). I like the atmosphere and the feeling being there (I was in winter and was very... More

Beautiful small coffee shop with European asthenosphere. Good sweet cake and coffee. Don't miss it while in Barcelona.

As a hot chocolate aficionado, I was disappointed. The chocolate was too dark and the price was higher than everywhere else. The pastries in the window look amazing and apparently they're all made by nuns but I got put off as they are not covered and everyone who goes to choose a slice of cake has the compulsion to have... Impossible to sit during the week-end, like a lot of places of that type in Barcelona, they have just a few tiny tables. During the week however, it is better. They have a large choice of cakes, all of them seem really good. The carrot cake was actually really good but €5.10 which seemed a little bit expensive to me.... More

The exterior is beautiful, very welcoming. My parents and I went in for hot drinks; initially the service was slow but that was okay because we could see it was a little busy. The drinks were fine, however, horrendously overpriced considering the much higher quality we'd already experienced in Barcelona. After visiting the toilet, the impertinent woman behind the counter... More
