We thought we knew what tapas was from multiple experiences we had down the La Rambla. Then we ate at Paco's and realized we were mistaken. One of the more memorable meals I've ever had, great wine, and the prices are about the same as the lame places on the Rambla. Iff you don't have reservations, get there about 7:45... More

Our hotel was near this restaurant and we happened to walk by it while we were looking for a place to have dinner our first night in Barcelona. It was a week night and on the early side for dinner in Barcelona (between 8-8:30 pm) so was not too busy yet. Our waiter was very helpful in explaining what a... More

Standing in a line of 10 waiting to be seated whilst watching people eat is a sure way to have customers reject the null atmosphere experience forced upon you and leave. Get a relaxed waiting area either outside or inside and the establishment will last. The food looked good from being 6th in the queue, good luck Paco.

We eat here every time we are in Barcelona. It's always packed, so make a reservation well in advance. If you haven't, it's still worth the wait for the varied choice of excellent tapas and a very good wine list. Highly recommended!

Loved this restaurant. All locals except us. Each tapas dish was superb, tasty. Excellent steak, extremely fresh salad, grilled veggies, rabbit, and tuna carpiccio was my favorite. The waiter was very friendly even though we were the only non-locals in the place.

Locals and tourists alike seemed to love Pacific Meralgo's- as did we. Everything we tried, we liked! Fun service and a lively crowd. Very tight knit quarters but amazingly easy to hear my dinner companion and hold a real conversation. Lots of eye candy, too (M & F) a super-enjoyable evening.

Paco Meralgo is a super, non-touristic and cool restaurant where you can eat typical Spanish and Catalan food. First of all, if you'd like to have a table there, it's better to call and reserve it. If not, and if you are lucky enough, you'd better go by 1:30 p.m. and hope to find a place at the bar, because... More

We didn't make any reservations, but happened to arrive when they opened at 8pm on a Saturday. Our waiter's English was limited, but they have menus in English. Loved the salmon on bread, prawns in garlic sauce, bomba, and baked baby scallops. Their garlic-fried filet is a filet of steak, and while delicious, not worth the price. Definitely don't skip... One of the few establishments open in the residential area of L'Example on a Sunday evening. Staff were very professional and exceptionally proficient. A well oiled team effort. Food very good but a little more expensive that the guide book suggested. £70 for 2 including a bottle of wine. Recommended.

We were planning for dinner at a different restaurant, which was closed and therefeore we ended up at Paco Meralgo. And this was not a pity. We were lucky as we arrived early enough to get seated at the bar with all the seafood in front of us. Prawns, Scallops, Razor Clams and a variety of other mussels and were... More
