Found the restaurant through tripadvisor and as it was close to our hotel, decided to try - and boy did we like it! Great varied menu with excellent tastes and and very helpful staff as well. Ended up coming back a second night. One of the best tapas experiences I've had. Gets busy/full quickly but we arrived at opening time... More

Every time I go to Barcelona I have to go to Paco Meralgo, live the ambiance and the food is to lick your fingers. Today I ate gambas de Palamos, pricey but sooo worth it. If you are into it just drink some cava for dessert or why not with your meal. You won't regret it!!

This taberna serves extraordiary high level tapas. WE choose to eat jamon iberico, razor clams a la plancha, steak tartare, prawns, bomba (croquet filled with fish) bacalao with tomato, and spinach croquets all accompanied with local cava. We highly recommend this place

This restaurant serves what is, for Barcelona, very ordinary, unremarkable tapas. However, what makes it a horrible dining experience is the terribly arrogant, nasty, and priggish staff, which infects and sours the entire experience. For example, when we asked, in Spanish, for anything remotely Spanish (such as a menu in Spanish and some bottled water from Spain), the waiter turned... More

Loved this restaurant. Good variety of tapas and the quality of the food was excellent, which is not always the case with tapas in Barcelona. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful and overall was as good as we had expected.

Awesome place to enjoy quality tapas, good wine and a fun atmosphere. If you are planning on going during the weekend (even on Thursday night) I recommend you make a reservation as they are always full. "La Bomba" tapa was the best I've tried!

I visit Barcelona 4x per year for business and eat out a lot. This place is special, though be aware it gets very crowded (mostly with locals) so make reservations. The food is all excellent but there are two special recommendations: "Fricando"- which is a very typical Catalan dish of beef and mushrooms. Melt in your mouth slices of meat... More

The food is to die for. You must make a booking if not you can wait for hours. Very busy tapas bar North of Barcelona. Tried their cod, prawns, anchovies all excellent. The jamon is so tender and delicious. All food is fresh and great choice of food. Very inexpensive as well.

Every time I stay in Barcelona Paco Meralgo is a must stop. You will find some tapas that you cannot find in most of other restaurants in Barcelona My favourites? Razor clams, octopus, fried artichokes...but the list is long....
