4 times visited now and just as good each time, this place is firmly on the list of things we must do when we visit Barca, go for breakfast - Bombas and Tallerines (baby clams) are a must.

We went in, we ate perfectly, we went out. After a quick lunch including razor clams, fried artichoke, and few other seafood dishes, we took a break in front of La Cova Fumada and wondered ourselves if our lunch was real. It was that good that it seemed like a dream. It wasn't comfortable, it wasn't luxurious, it wasn't a... More

Delicious fresh fish and seafood at a little family run restaurant/ tapas bar. Tiny, tiny place, no reservations, so bring with you lots of patience.. you will have to wait.. and bring also some cash... no cards accepted! The best food, the friendliest service and you will love the bill ! Really recommendable gem...

Let me start off by saying I LOVED the food at this little whole in the wall restaurant with no name outside! If you see a crowd in front you've found the right place! We had to wait but it was oh so worth it! Carles, our server, made suggestions and we went with all of them: grilled artichoke with... More

Come here for a true Barceloneta dining experience! A family-run neighborhood restaurant that serves deliciously wholesome food. Must order the "Bomba", so fluffy and melts in your mouth along with that amazing homemade aioli and hot sauce. Such a simple but delicious bite of food. Go for the seasonal fresh produce, usually displayed on the bar counter. After your meal,... More

Frankly, The Best Restaurant I have ever been! The atmosphere (crew and customers) and food is excellent! Fish and other seafood is very fresh and everything is made under your eyes! In Finnish words: Helvetin hyvä ravintola! Means: That Good restaurant you can not find the right words! Highly highly recommend! Mika, Helsinki

La cova fumada is definitely my favourite place in town! Great food, great atmosphere, great service! What else do you need?! Try the bombas, recorte de pulpo, tallarines.. Actually all the food is awesome! There might be a line around lunchtime but the waiter writes you on a list and it is definitely worth waiting!

Very glad that we tracked down La Cova while exploring Barceloneta. Organized chaos in this small tapas bar made for a fun time and experience. Tapas was excellent as was the service. Definitely check this place out when in Barceloneta.

We gathered here for a get together : 12 people a tiny, cozy space. More authentic than this is not possible in Barcelona! We tasted "la bomba", mushrooms, sea-food and all the kitchen had to offer to us. The taste of the food is not on the refined gourmet side (meaning this is basic food at its best!) rather on... Went on a recommendation of a friend. It is excellent. Have a drink at the bar while you wait for a table to free up. Eat everything.
