Head waiter had attitude plus Did not bother explaining menu and when we ask questions he is very condescending. That being said pystets from northern France were best we have had anywhere. Octopus is miss and fish superb. Pork ribs were amazing pork for a seafood restaurant.

This is the formal upstairs of a very popular set of restaurants by the adria brothers. Espai Cru provides a mixture of cooked and raw unique dishes. The services is excellent, especially if you go at 8pm. it gets crowded by 915 to 930pm and then the service slows down and is less attentive. we had them create a tasting... More

It is an expensive restaurant which creates high expectation. The food itself was okay, however way too over-priced for what it was. There was a fracture on my wine glass, they changed it but didn't replace my drink. So that was a waste. They brought us bread and olive oil without us asking for it. Believe it or not, they... Espai Cru is a modern space located above Rias de Galicia in Barcelona. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgable and took time to explain the menu to us. We opted for a tasting menu, leaving the choice of food to the chefs - It was delicious. Most of the food was raw and prepared with great care and skill.... More

This is now the upstairs restaurant at this address (the Rias de Galicia downstairs is more formal), concentrating on raw food in surprising combinations the food is excellent. Service is non-formal friendly and can struggle a little when they are full

We sat in the downstairs Rias de Galicia and were treated to excellent seafood and a delightful local wine. Any seafood fan will enjoy the wide range of options, fresh produce and good service.

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We were not disappointed. Our table individually ordered a nice representation of the food groups offered on the menu and no one was disappointed. The fish was exceptional; lobster, perfect; and the lamb cooked to perfection. Also an excellent wine list. We chose the Ribera del Duero Crianza. A very nice and bold... More

We were 1st attracted by its menu displayed at the window then we decided to go for it. Their service is very good. Food is simply delicious. Very fresh seafood, meat quailty was excellent. Don't miss out their tuna tartar. Price is bit on the high side..the standard of food and service is worth the money.

This review is for Rias de Galicia as we have not yet made it upstairs to Espai Kru. With so many tapas and main menu choices, we studied the menu while we sampled some of the very good house cava. We still could not decide what to order, so we chose the tasting menu with no less than 11 small... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
