Had a nice breakfast here in this cute, cosy bar behind Hotel 1898, also had a few drinks in the evening when its packed ! There are constant street entertainers outside and there are a couple of other bars opposite to sample too.

We stayed five days post cruise in Barcelona. Three of those days we started with a meal at Bar Lobo. We both enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice, and the potatoes/fried egg/bacon in a bowl serving for breakfast. Our coming back three times gives all the recommendation needed for this excellent restaurant.

This was highly recommended by our wonderful hotel Casa Camper. Great interior and a busy vibe. Service was good. We had five different tapas, most of which were very decent, the eggplant in honey is very good as I'd the tempura asparagus. The real letdown was the dessert. Both the Creme Catalan (a sweet lemony version of the Creme Brûlée)... More

This is a great restaurant. Prices are good. Tapas best. Staff are smiley faces and kindly. Service is a little bit slow but its because of full of tables. I ll come again

Our last night in Barcelona as a group of friends (4 of us). Chose here and what a let down it was. It was busy, a good sign you think. Erm.... no. We ordered drinks and they came, that was fine and the wine was lovely. Ordered our food. One person got their starter, then the their main. The rest... More

I have loved coming to this great spot in the past, but the service and food is getting more and more sloppy. They need a manager who cares about the food and staff. A real pity. I have been many times over the last few years, but this is my last visit.

Terrible service. Rude waiters. The plant in the table full of little flies. Eggs Benedict was soggy, with almost no sauce and the egg overlooked. Great location, pity about everything else.

Lovely food in a nice quiet corner just off the Ramblas on Pintor Fortuny 3. You sit inside at the bar and they give you outside tables in the order of your arrival so you can relax with a glass of wine until one is free and no-one can sneak up and take it! They have a really nice pink... More

Good food, lovely waitstaff and reasonably priced. A nice location off the main strip with a great menu.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
