Some of the best tapas I have had

Several friends of mine had recommended Bar Lobo, and as I tried it myself last week I understood why. Fair prices, fine - though not extraordinary - service, and some of the best tapas I have had during my two weeks in Spain. I must emphasize the patatas bravas being highly recommendable... read more

This is a great lunch spot a half a block off Las Ramblas. Very good food and friendly staff. Very often there's a line up to get in but the wait is well worth it. Highly recommended.

The best restaurant in Barcelona to experience the catalan cuisine. Either two sharing various tapas (Andalusian squid is a must) or as a family as the restaurant also serves "comfort food" as burgers and tartar that will fit anyone. The restaurant is constant and the food is always good at a reasonable price. Lobo is good for a couple as... More

The waiter staff are always busy with many customers eating and drinking here. We only chose drinks as the choice on the menu was not to our liking, and the prices were quite high.

This place was recommended to us by our hotel. We waited a bit for an outside table but it was worth it. The tables are situated in a little courtyard area right off the street. We had tapas and some really good sangria. We even got to hear a local musician play some Coldplay on his guitar.

The restaurant is medium sized with seating inside and outside. There are several other restaurants in the same area so it's a quite lively area. The tapas was great and the service was pleasant. I would recommend the tempura amburgine!

We spent our last night in Barcelona at bar lobo and the food was amazing!! Staff were great too. You must eat here if you are ever visiting the city. We found a lot of the restaurants around las ramblas were not great at all... We were so glad to find this fabulous place!!! Thumbs up!

The place is very nice and the service was good but the tapas are basic and not getting close to the local dishes. If you need the young environment and you need air condition it is a good place if you want good food search it out of the Rambla area

We had a wonderful week in Barcelona and this fantastic place was recommended by one of the staff at our hotel. It is off La Ramblas so set in a more peaceful square Pintor Fortuny. It offered fantastic cocktails, tapas, and more, prepared in front of you at bar, so all very fresh and outside seating where you can be... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
