Modern and cosy

Ran into this gem from sheeting rain. Try to sit upstairs and look down on everyone and the outside world from up high - you're even above the lights! Had a delicious lunch and white wine. Brilliantly situated near the large market, off Ramblas and near my favourite shop Alé Hop! Recommend.

Place is quite cool, very nice decor, good food and ok service. But.... the terrace! Could sit there for days, staring at the ambience, enjoying a cold beer. A perfect stop near the ramblas.

Initially, I was worried about this place being so closed to Las Ramblas, hence stumbling in a touristy destination with high prices, but very happy I decided to have lunch there : the fish was amazing, very tasty and fresh, really great, some of the best I had in Barcelona. The service was fast and inefficient, but don't expect too many... More

The sister to Luiza only a few doors away. A lovely bright, airy atmosphere. We went for breakfast. It's a cool restaurant and our food was good. I have eggs benedict and my daughter a nice fresh croissant but we had to wait an age to get the bill from a waitress who was good at avoiding eye contact and... More

We had a great dinner at Bar Lobo. At first we thought the prices were a bit high, but when we got the food...oh my... Try the calamares. Try the hummus with bread (though there was a LOT of hummus and not much bread, this could be improved!!). Try the patatas bravas, even when you have had enough of them,... More

Only ate breakfast here. Scrambled eggs with bacon, was nice enough. My friend asked for Parmesan with her eggs, expecting it to be mixed in, instead it seemed like it was pre grated and was just heaped on the top of the eggs. Apparently not the best scrambled eggs. I asked for tea instead of coffee and the waitress asked... More

We found this restaurant accidentally after getting a bit lost. The restuarant looks nice and cozy , we looked at the menu and decided to get in. We were glad we made the good choice. Everything here was delicious. The waiter and waitress were super busy but manage to explain the menu to us. One of the female bartender looks... More

Waitress was rude. Asked for check and had to wait for a long time for someone to approach. Even had to ask for the plates. Food is ok. The brownies are good.

Restaurant was pretty cool and I enjoyed the food even if the service was a bit on and off. One minute the waiters and waitresses was fast and effective and the next minute they became the complete opposite and forgot why they where at work. The food was interesting but a bit too well done

Great menu, great service, great value for money. Recommended to anyone who is in the neighbourhood and wants to escape tourist traps.

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
