Be prepared to queue as there is no way to book a table here. Basically you just turn up and wait, and queues can be enormous, especially at night. Me and a friend got here at 20 minutes to midnight and luckily there were just a few people waiting, as the kitchen closes at midnight. As other reviewers mentioned it's... More

The Paradeta series of restaurants are located in various parts of Barcelona. I had lunch at the one near La Sagrada Familia. The place is somewhat canteen like with plain tables and chairs and the queue for lunch can make for chaotic ordering, however, this is how it works: Upon entry you will be met by a 'wet' fish stall... Oh wow, I can;t believe this is behind my hotel Picasso. Be there early as the wait becomes long but so worth it. Eveyhting is fresh and cooked to perfection. How can one go wrong when they do not add to much spices and let the freshness speaks for itself. The best dining experience we ever had in Barcelona.

Get there early! The fresh seafood is fantastic. They have a large selection and the market prices are really reasonable. I bought a plate of mussels at La Boqueria for 9-10Euros and there were maybe 1/2 Kilo of Mussels. At this place, it was 6Euro a Kilo and the plate was full! The razorback clams were awesome and the calamari... More

La Paradeta was recommended by one of the language school tour guides as a great place to go for fresh fish and he was absolutely right! One enters into a fish market like setting where the initial choice of fish for lunch or dinner or takeaway occurs. Then you can add a salad, dessert, a drink, bread, etc. A number... More

Its like a spanish fast seafood restaurant, but on the good way. You can chose what you wanna eat from ice, the price are in kg, so if you eat 6 peaces of shrimps they measure it, and you need to pay after you chosed everything. I have never aet such a fresh seafood like here. And the price are... More

After visiting La Sagrada Familia, we stopped at La Paradeta for lunch. We had to wait an hour as we did not realize it did not open for lunch until 1 pm. It was well worth the wait! We ordered a little bit of everything (crab salad, tuna, lobster, calamari, salad, soup, mussels, clams, raw oysters). Everything (except for the... More

This is one of the best experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. You walk in and are faced with a myriad of fresh seafood on ice. Choose whatever suits you and they'll cook it up. They call your number as the dishes are ready. I had the seafood soup, crab, oysters, razor clams and a side salad. I actually... More

I have no idea what they put in the cooking of the food but the seafood was so fresh and delicious. You pick whatever you want them to cook. We had crab, prawns, and so many other things. i just know it was delicious. I think our bill came out to 60 euros for the both of us. Def worth... More

White fish frilled with garlic butter, grilled prawns salad and bread for 2 plus beer and lemonade was €35. We waited an hot in the queue or pick our super fresh fish from the counter and it was worth it. Expect to wait in a friendly queue and high quality food with no frills and lots of substance. There is... More
