Description: La Cúpula is a landmark restaurant, located just behind the Sagrada Familia cathedral where diners can enjoy a pleasant evening surrounded by seven vintage Spanish and Swiss cars that are part of the restaurant’s private collection. La Cúpula offers meticulously prepared and beautifully presented Mediterranean haute cuisine based on an outstanding selection of the best seasonal ingredients. Starters include grilled Asparagus with foie gras and crispy cheeks and sardine “coca”, caramelised onion and braised “butifarra” sausage, other choices include pigs trotters stuffed with porcini mushrooms and king prawns with Provencal couscous, monkfish in squid ink with Bomba rice or fillet steak with foie gras and porcini cream. The desserts are all home made and include original creations such as honey and “matò” cheese with quince paste and walnut ice cream. La Cúpula offers a well stocked humidor and an extensive list of Spanish wines with some unusual bottles. The décor is warm and cosy and in the evenings diners can enjoy a lively meal accompanied by live piano music. The dining room can accommodate up to 100 people and the restaurant also has a number of private rooms each seating up to 15 people.

We were introduced to La Cúpula by a Catalan friend a few years ago. We go there everytime we are in Barcelona because I enjoy the excellent food and service. This time we went at night instead of lunch. At lunch they have an all inclusive menu which is very decently priced (18E) for the quality you get. The night... More

I came to this restaurant with my family after having visited the Sagrada Familia (I recommend you to buy the tickets in advance through Internet to avoid queues). I am happy with the choice we made. For a reasonable price, we had a full menu (drinks excluded). There were not too many options in the menu, but everything was quite... More

This was a logical choice as we were staying at the hotel in the same building. Impressive decor with real Hispanos Suiza. Quite clearly restaurant had been planned and fitted out for high end customers. We understood that due to the crisis, target clientele had to be modified. In any case, we had three very good dinners with inexpensive but... More

Like I said in the title, tasty food, rich choice, fancy restaurant, polite staff, maybe a little bit cold, not so friendly, but helpful.

after two years we visited this restaurant again. even we were wearing bermudas, we were welcome. the lunch menu gives a good range of various dishes to choose and is really cheap in price but high in quality. we will not miss to visit that restaurant again when we are in barcelona again.

I had dinner with a friend who is allergic gluten. We told our issue to the waiters and he was very professional not serving us bread and asking to the kitchen if the dishes of the menu contained flavors. He changed part of the dishes of the menu looking for alternatives for my friend. Portions were big enough and tasty.... More

This is a fantastic place to go and eat, the food value is excellent ! we used this for a business venue and it didn't disappoint. This is a short walk from Sag Familia , the menu del dia was such good value - €12 per head. we had home made ravioli , followed by rabbit and a desert. A... More

We were unable to find a table at the Mandarin Oriental / Westin that night so we settled for a table at Cupula - and extremely pleased we had done so! The crowd is elegant if not a bit senile but the atmosphere is positively charming. The service is extremely professional - but as our sommelier found out on placing... More
