Restaurant on a beautiful boulevard inside the heart of Barcelona and its shopping area. We care about the tradition and the authentic Spanish and Catalan recipes. We have a nice daily menu and our staff speaks different languages.

The places looks ok but the staff is terrible. They made a mistake with our order although we ordered in both English and Spanish. Therefore I never got a meal but we just left the place. My husband's meal was good though, I have to admit that. In general I would not recommend the venue as it really does not... More

Sadly I cannot recommend you this place. We did go there in hope to find a good Paella as it was not that easy to find a place that offers one and we were surprised by what kind of bad food we could get in Barcelona. We got two paellas: - one seafood paella with 4 mussels and two gambas... More

Dear DeniseLin, Thank you for leaving such a detailed critique on Tripadvisor as this allows us to address some of the points made. There are many different recipes for paella from all over Spain and at Taller de Tapas we serve a Catalan version using a dark and aromatic sofrito and very flavoursome fish stock (prepared daily in the restaurant).... Was recommended by the guy on reception in our hotel. Very busy place but service excellent. Given a free glass of cava and the cocktail was very nice! Food very good all deliveed to the table at different times so you just dig in and eat what's in front of you.

I went for lunch and sat by the bar. The staff were very attentative. I enjoyed the food selection. I only had a beer and cannot therefore comment on the drinks. Overrall a pretty decent place and value for money/

The restaurant looks great and cozy. The staff was professional but the food (we chose the tapas menu and the paella menu) was very disappointing compared to other restaurants in the same price range. The white wine we selected was very good but once again, the food is definitely not the star in this restaurant...

Having tapas at the heart of the action and almost al fresco enjoying the mild cool winter's night. A great place to see the actions go by and relax in the heart of the city with good tapas.

We were in Barcelona for 4 nights and at there twice. That said it all isn't? We came for the Tapas. Took the aubergine with lemon and honey, chickpeas and asparagus. The fact was that none of them was that good. Still hungry we asked for the Sirloin and it was amazing. Medium. Take the bread with the tomato and... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
