Friendly service, quality food.

Escaping the heat we went to a restaurant cafe we had passed the previous day that we thought looked interesting. We were shown to the coolest spot in the house, right at the bar. The bar tender was young, gracious and hospitable, working hard, but always with time to chat with us. After a beer and... read more

We decided to try Taller de Tapas ourselves after reading mixed reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed. Our favourites were the grilled squid in lemon sauce which was so tender and tasty and the homemade hommus, both dishes were excellent. We also had a salad which was average. We arrived about 7:15pm and immediately had a table. By... More

Struggling to find a place we settled for this busy restaurant and it was amazing. The service was the best we had whilst staying in Barcelona and although €7 seemed a lot for a tapas the portions were large and the quality good. We also had a pitched of sangria which was delicious.

After a long hot day traipsing around Barcelona we came across this place and sat outside at 9pm - there's a central reservation between the 2 carriageways and lots of restaurants have seating along this strip (be aware they charge an extra 15% for sitting outside, we reckoined it was danger money for the waiters crossing the road!) We weren't... More

Fernando is an amazing waiter. Gave us suggestions on great tapas and drinks as well as chatted with us about our time in Barcelona! The food was perfect and just what I was in the mood for at 11pm. The atmosphere is very welcoming and they have nice indoor and outdoor seating.

We had just flown into Barcelona and checked into our hotel last evening and found Taller de Tapis a convenient and interesting enough location on the lively central Boulevard of the Ramblas de Catalunya for a preliminary food venture. We enjoyed some delish gambas in olive oil/ garlic/salt, asparagus with walnuts and seafood paella. Could have enjoyed a meal from... More

I would not recommend coming here if you are hungry. The seafood is not bad but the portions are very small. Didn't find any tapas in the menu. The cheescake is excellent.

Colleagues and I were looking for a place to have tapas or a light evening meal. There were five of us and it was a Saturday so it was difficult to find something. We saw Taller Tapas and there was a table for five in the front. This was a lucky choice because it was just what we were looking... More

My friend and I were exhausted from our eventful week in Spain so we stopped by Taller de Tapas on our last night because it was close to our hostel. We didn't regret it. Food was delicious and not too expensive, and the staff was great too. Our waiter Fernando (I believe that was his name) was friendly and chatty... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
