Best Queso de Cabra Salad I've ever had so far!

This place is one of my favorite places to go to! The decorations is very cozy and nice (which makes it perfect for dates) and the salads are amazing. If you love Queso de Cabra this is the place, and if you don't get to huge pieces of Queso de Cabra when you order the salad (8,90 euros) send it... read more

We discovered the restaurant walking in the old Gothic Quarter. It's down a narrow side alley in an old building by itself, has skylights in the roof, reasonable price, busy, we had the special, as soon as we finished each course, the waiter brought us our next course.

The restaurant is a real hidden gem it's really hard to find!! The atmosphere is lovely as is the deco. The food was really nice. I had the fillet steak which was really tasty. We had two courses each and lots of drinks and it came to €31 per person which is reasonable.

Ate dinner here with my daughter on 4/25. Made a reservation thru trip advisor earlier that day. We arrived exactly on time, but they had no record of our reservation. Hostess/waitress was rude despite the fact that the place was near empty, but reluctantly sat us. The restaurant remained half full thru our dinner. Ambiance : as another reviewer wrote,... More

From the first view we thought that is a tipical local tappas restaurant, but after a quik look we find out that the place have a lot more to offer, the place is dividid for 2 sections, one for tappas-that is filled with much more younger people , and the other is the Main restaurant with the a delicous food.... Stunning architecture inside and out, this place is a gem. Order a mojito and you won't regret it! Great atmosphere, perfect after a long day walking the streets. Be careful that you aren't too loud on the streets out front after midnight, locals are known to toss buckets of water over the balcony onto the tourists. For real.

Nice restaurant / bar but it's nearer the end of bar than anything else as the tapas is really not that authentic. The service was good. Wouldn't go back.

The restaurant/bar is in a 300 year old converted stable and keeps much of the character. The staff are super friendly, cocktails first class - tried the classic and fruit mojitos - and food excellent. Was very quiet when we went and it's a place of two halves with the bar at the front and a lovely romantic restaurant at... More

Not easy to find initially but worth it. Was a little quiet in the restaurant when we first got there but was soon bustling. Service was great, there weren't any appetisers we fancied on the main menu so the waitress offered us a choice from the bar menu. I didn't really enjoy my calamari as the batter was really thick... We stumbled upon this place while walking back to our flat. The bar is beautiful. Stunningly set on the main floor of what appears to be an old family home, the exposed brick and thoughtful decor really give this place curb appeal. However, the food - not so much. We ordered off the tapas menu. The portions are big, and... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
