Superb steaks in an historic setting

The restaurant/bar is in a 300 year old converted stable and keeps much of the character. The staff are super friendly, cocktails first class - tried the classic and fruit mojitos - and food excellent. Was very quiet when we went and it's a place of two halves with the bar at the front and a lovely... read more

Not easy to find initially but worth it. Was a little quiet in the restaurant when we first got there but was soon bustling. Service was great, there weren't any appetisers we fancied on the main menu so the waitress offered us a choice from the bar menu. I didn't really enjoy my calamari as the batter was really thick... We stumbled upon this place while walking back to our flat. The bar is beautiful. Stunningly set on the main floor of what appears to be an old family home, the exposed brick and thoughtful decor really give this place curb appeal. However, the food - not so much. We ordered off the tapas menu. The portions are big, and... More

Picked this restaurant up from Trip Advisor and were glad we did. The quality and presentation of the food was excellent and reasonably priced. There is both a Tapas and a main menu. Starters on the main are a bit limited and so we chose a few Tapas as starters and then something from the menu for the main meal.... More

You will have to look hard to find this gem of a bar/restaurant, but it is worth finding! It is down a small alleyway with a Guinness sign outside and pretty much nothing else in the alley. The tapas portions are great - two per person make a full meal and they are all reasonably priced for a Barcelona city... More

We've been coming here for several years now. We make a point of it when we're in Barcelona. Saw Barca beat Espanyol 5-1 the topped it off with a lovely feta/kiwi/strawberry salad, which was fabulous. Followed by a great fillet steak. Lovely food and very friendly staff. See you again soon.

After being welcomed in we were seated and given our menus and EVERYONE said yum rib of beef ! After about 5 mins the inattentive waiter came up and said the rib of beef was off........why give us the menu with it on then ? After a short while no drinks were offered and we had to ask for them.... More

We at here on our last night in Barcelona after doing much research. We chose La Luna because we wanted more of a restaurant than a busy, loud bar. We also wanted a proper meal, not tapas. The inside is beautiful and really old. Very charming and cosy. We got a nice table and found the menu to have several... More

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
