"A place where gastronomy, art and culture come together"

An Argentinean restaurant in "El Born", Barcelona

The restaurant has the appearance of a French bistro, the ambience and decor are part of its charm, but above all, what makes it special and what explains the resounding success is that it is an Argentine restaurant in Barcelona, that offers quality –and price.

We offer an extensive menu with meats imported from Argentina, famous for its cut, taste and quality; handmade pastas; pizzas and grilled cheeses (like the famous provolone) . At noon, from Tuesday to Friday, we offer a menu of Mediterranean fusion cuisine, comprising a cream soup followed by a starter ,main course and desserts . Drinks are also included. There are four types of meat on the menu, these include an authentic Argentinean grill called "Criollo", plus another grill from the La Pampa region called "Pampero" and the Patagonian mixed Grill.

The restaurant has a few private rooms for groups, located on the main floor. In the cellar, known as "El Foro Club" is a space available for a more intimate dinner or simply to have a drink.

A place to go in a trendy area

We had a venue in the area and we felt it was a good idea to dine Argentinian fare nearby. We enjoyed, first of all, the service of the Maitre, a charming Chinese lady, and food was completely up to the expectatives. We made a selection of starts, of which, the best was the provolone cheese with... read more

Everything was absolutely insane, from the meet to the wine. It is not so cheap but neither expensive. This is a must if you are in this zone in Barcelona

We booked a table here for our Christmas day meal while in Barcelona. Greeted warmly upon arrival and we were seated immediately even though we arrived 30 minutes early. Really cool environment and the place was hopping which was a great sign. The menu was really diverse with lots of excellent gastronomic choices. Service was initially great with the waiter... More

I went to this restaurant in order to have some dinner. I really liked the atmosphere, and the food more or less was ok. The thing that i didn't like was that i've been charged for the bread and the olive oil that I received from the waiter when i sat to the table, without even been asked!! Guys, please,... More

Hi George. We are so sorry that you felt that way... it is very difficult that you has had a ticket of € 100, our price is € 24-40 per head ... as usual, the best product is the most expensive, and it can raise the tiket ... . The bread and sauce is charged in almost every restaurant in... More

We enjoyed eating outside as it was a lovely day. The food was very good and a good value. The service was also very good! It was a good spot for people-watching and very close to the Picasso Museum.

The food is OK (not great, just OK). And the place is nice but... I will never go there again. Because of the tricks... You will have to pay for everything! Yep, this is normal at lease if you order it... But they will give you some bread with olive oil... during the time when you wait for your order.... More

Hi, in the menu it's clearly specify the price of bread and sauce. In the vast majority of restaurants in Barcelona the bread it's charged apart (or is included in the price of the dish, inferior quality). Cheers More

There's nothing special about El Foro, but equally it is a safe bet for decent steak at not unreasonable prices. Seemed popular with the locals, with a big surge of people arriving at about 9.30 p.m.

We enjoyed our very first meal in Spain at El Foro. We picked it for its arty interior, menu and the large number of people taking lunch there. We had the menu of the day which consisted of four (count 'em, FOUR!) course + wine/cava for approximately 13.00 euros. My husband and I had entirely different selections. We both really... More

Our server didn't hesitate to offer great recommendations when asked. The 250 g. steak was excellent and the tagliatelle was sublime. Don't miss the chocolate nemesis cake and ice cream for dessert and their jamon iberico was superb!
