Lunch was pleasant

The food was good, prices reasonable and the staff was helpful. It's across the street from the Xocolata Museum, a "don't miss" place when visit Barcelona.

Absolutely one of the best meals I had in Barcelona. I found this restaurant by accident and for once, didn't regret it. From the appetizer, wine list to dessert, everything was perfect. The staff was attentive and professional with a great recommendation provided. I had a calamari appetizer that was on special and the bif steak with fries for the... More

My friend and I went to this place for lunch today. Our worst experience in Barcelona! We waited 45 minutes ( and I am not exagerating ) to receive 3 shrimps on a piece of sandia and one scallop with 2 shrimps ( may I add that these were suggested in the menu of the month) ... Pretty ridiculous. We... More

El Foro has a classic French Catalan Argentinian menu. It's got a great kitchen. I don't usually say this but I'm a chef and I notice certain details. We had Provence potatoes, grilled vegetables and the Argentinian mixed grill. Now the vegetables were perfect. So what, you say, but it's hard to make the perfect vegetable. There is clearly a... The waiter wasn't nice, she complained about us wanting extra cheese on our pizza's. And overall didn't talk politely to other customers, charged us for eating outside.

A spacious and different restaurant. Close to the botanical gardens. Perfect for an excessive lunch.

Visited with two friends on a quiet Sunday night. We received very attentive service from Daniela and good advice on how much to order. All the food was fantastic, except for a bit too much fat on one steak, but it happens. We had no wine but only one g&t and no dessert. Spent about 30 euros each. So, not... More

After a long tour of the Picasso museum stopped at El Foro for lunch, best meal we had on our trip to Barcelona. I had argentine steak, my son had pizza which were both lovely. The chocolate cake and ice cream (homemade) was so good!!!! Very well priced for good food, two course lunch and several drinks €45 including tip,... More

I booked this online in advance as we had a large group to accommodate. 20 people. The restaurant had set up a room for us which had a half glass wall looking back to the main restaurant. this was perfect as I was paranoid that we were going to get quite loud as the wine flowed. A lady called Nigella... More

This place has a lively atmosphere and was a nice place to go and relax on our first evening in Barcelona. Our server recommended a good red wine and the meat dishes (Argentinian), bread, and dessert were good. The manager brought a complimentary licquor (we later learned this was Las Hierbas) that he told us would be good for jet... More

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
