Nice surprise

Hidden in one of the alley of the Barrio Gotic, Pla worths the trouble to find it. The food is ultra-fresh, the dishes are original and the staff is friendly and not too needy. A great place to chill in while enjoying food and great conversation

All in all excellent experience. Nice romantic ambiance, excellent friendly and attentive service, great food - catalan cuisine with a modern twist. Very good value for money too. We will return.

We had dinner at Pla for my husband's birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant has a cozy, relaxed atmosphere, and the service was great; our friendly, attentive waiter was very happy to chat with us about regional wines and food. The meal was outstanding, from the punchy sea bass ceviche and market-fresh octopus salad, to the melt-in-your-mouth... More

This is a review about a dinner that never happened thanks to the amazing attention of the Restaurant. I like to travel and plan all my meals and visits (I am picky and we love food) so as I knew I was spending VALENTINE'S DAY in Barcelona, I booked in advance - a month in advance - for this known... Modern international food with slight local twist. Quiet when we visited in February. Service good. Environment comfortable. Portions smallish as usual with modern fine dining. Budget for 2 courses with wine about 50 Euros per head. We had 2 pork and 2 fish dishes all good. Deserts were pretty and delicious.

This restaurant looks very attractive from the outside which is not always a guarantee. But in this case: what a pleasant surprise ! Staff is so attentive, food is marvelous and price is fair. There are quiet some tourist traps in the medieval part of Barcelona, but this is an exception. We ordered the special: monk in a lemongrass and... More

We always do our diligency in reading reviews before going to a new resturant. We have had great sucess. Unfortunately Pla was by far one of the worst meals I have ever had. My husband ordered the Fish Special and myself the Lamb. There was absolutely no seasoning or flavor to either of these dishes. Wasted our money and evening... More

a lovely restaurant tucked away down a side street, with a great atmosphere low lighting and very cosy perfect for a romantic meal! Myself and partner had the tasting menu with matching wines and was all lovely!!! Great service by friendly staff would definitely recommend! My only grumble would be the brown ceramic dishes some of the food was served... More

I lived in BCN for several years and discovered this splendid restaurant. It used to be my favourite and in Jan 2015, after a 5 year hiatus, I decided to go back. The food was equally excellent, as were the service and wine. I just love the atmosphere and decor as well. What can I say, I just love this... More

PLA restaurant is a dim lighted medium sized restaurant on a small alley. We searched the place already in the day-time to avoid problems which we might have in the evening. The interior is charming as are the tablewares. The restaurant is a little bit too dim to read the menu properly. We had reserved our table in advance, which... More
