Nice service

Really Nice staff. Good food for the price -the olives were great. Funny menu card but a bit confusing. Will recommend it for lunch

This place looks cosy If you walk past it. Do not let that fool you. The service was nice at first, we were four persons going to have dinner. Three of us ordered tapas and I was going to have the paella with chicken and rabbit, our waiter asked If it was ok to wait 20 minutes for that dish,... More

Visited El Guindilla a thursday night. Nice space outside with a very nice view to the square with local life. Portions were small. Food ok. Price high and didn't match with the menu.

Lovely restaurant located in a small and cosy square in El Born. We are so happy that we went here this late evening. Cue of course, but we are getting used to it now. The tapas was soo good and the wine as well. We decided to go here again for just an Irish Coffee, probably the best we have... More

I ordered a paella which took half and hour to come and was burnt. It looked like it had just been sat under a heater for 7 hours. I refused to eat it and left the restaurant, the waiter wasn't accommodating whatsoever. Shambles!!

We ate here soon after arriving in Barcelona and were pleased with our lunch. The food was quite tasty, but lunchtime portions are quit small. Great outdoor eating area. Fairly good service. Recommended if you're not too hungry.

We had lunch outside on a beautiful day. The wait was about 30 minutes, but Antonio organized things very nicely and the wait was worth it. The food was very good - the shrimp with garlic was particularly note worthy. Service was very good considering how busy the restaurant was. The 600 liter beer tank ran dry and the bar... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
