Good place to eat: it is open from 12.30 to late at night, service is fine, good food, not expensive.

Couldn't get into this place because it was so busy overtime we went passed. Eventually got a table on our third visit and was not disappointed. My wife who is generally a bit funny about new food attacked her plate of chicken and bubble and squeak like a starving woman leaving a clean plate. My pheasant salad and braised stuffed... More

We had a hard time finding this place, wandering via google maps. Just pop in a bakery or random shop (not a competing restaurant, that'd be rude) on the main drag and ask where it is. It's worth the search

It was rainy and we were hungry. Just happened to pass by this restaurant, took a peak at the menu and the ambience and decided to try it out. What a pleasant surprise! As others have commented, the menu is rather overpowering; extensive offerings with preparation options for vegetarians. After a good 20 minutes reading and studying the encyclopedia of... More

We visited Origen in the beginning of August 2014 and were lucky to get a table as we did not have a chance to make a reservation. The restaurant was very cozy and we found the service to attentive as well. The menu was packed full of information and made the ordering process to be a bit of challenge. All... More

We enjoyed the food here very much. There are 4 Origens in Barcelona. We had the duck dish and the stuffed eggplant for lunch - excellent. Great concept.

stumbled upon this place on our last evening wandering around the born district. Nice interesting menu- perhaps a bit over complicated, could be a bit smaller in volume :) Food arrived promptly when we ordered & was good value for money. I opted for the E18.75 menu, in general food was VERY tasty- am looking for the stuffed onion recipe... More

Wonderful service, fantastic food, great wines and decor that made it feel like we were eating in somebodys' kitchen. LOVED IT! Ecological and absolutely brilliant! Could you PLEASE open a restaurant in Stockholm too?

Last meal in Barcelona and of the trip. We were recommended to this restaurant by one of our guides and were so glad we tried it. This is a chain restaurant but I am not sure if it is just Barcelona or a wider area. The restaurant has a lively buzz and the menu is completely different than any other... More
