tasty food, lovely restaurant

If you're going to visit this market, you might as well eat here because it's really nice. It's in the same building as the market so you can't miss it. Inside of the restaurant looks really great. Visited this place for a quick tapas-based lunch. Fried fish balls, fried artichokes, marinated fish, and the unmissable Spanish cured ham. Yummy.

I make a point of eating at this restaurant and tapas bar on every visit to Barcelona! The food in the restaurant is reasonably priced and always comes out top notch. Absolutely great value for money. The bar is a nice area and serves tapas of the highest quality. Be warned, there's no table reservation system so you may find... More

This place was packed! Always a good sign to us. They had shared seating tables. They can handle large groups. We ended up at a table by ourselves. The restaurant has four separate kitchens. Lots of fun things on the menu to try. You could eat here regularly and try something new each time. Our waitress recommended getting 3 plates... More

Enjoyed a lovely meal and possibly the best Catalan creme we've ever had here. Good ambience and an extensive menu to suit all tastes. Highly recommended

I've not sat in the restaurant end but the bar end does the best grilled calamari I've ever had, served with a kind of salsa Verde. I go out of my way to have it at least once every time I'm in Barcelona. Outside area also great for people watching with a beer and a snack

We were a group of 5 people. After a lot of walking and sightseeing, we were tired and came to this place at the recommendation of our local tour guide. We got a table for lunch (late in the day). The 'matrix' menu was interesting to begin with - kinda like selecting courses in college... As advertised, they do use... More

As a group of six we managed to turn up and get a lunch table (not possible for dinner btw). Staff were excellent, knowledgable and helpful. We tried a range of dishes and all very tasty. Some local dishes and many international, all cooked exceptionally well. Everything is fresh and prepared in the open kitchens along one whole side of... More

Atmosphere is really nice, good service, serving late dinner. Great grilled octopus! Had rare steak well served. Found portions a bit small... Olives where huge size of plums and tasty! Overall very nice.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
