popular with locals and tourists. The menu is extensive and perhaps leads you to expect great dishes from the open kitchen. They couldn't deliver two starters or two main courses at the same time. An interesting experience which led us to try again later in the week. This was St Jordi day which meant it was extremely busy within half... More

We visited this amazing restaurant on a Saturday night. I will start with the negative. DO NOT GO THERE on a Saturday especially night if you are more than two people and especially do not go after 20:00 unless you are ready to wait from 45 minutes up to one and half hour. This is the ONE AND ONLY negative... More

If you're in Barcelona, this is a must! They open at 1PM for lunch and full soon after. If you get there early Tapas served outside. The bread was wonderful, Monkfish was great and the sauces heavenly.

I love it here. It never disappoints. Queue from about 12.30 for a table and then choose from a great selection of the freshest food from the adjoining Santa Caterina market. I've tried many dishes here and not one has let me down. Most recently, chicken yakitori which was delicious. My all time favourite was a simple pasta with buffalo... More

Dishes are very small despite the price you pay for it, i.e. one piece of lamb with four potatoes comes for 15€. They will serve you bread to any meal which at the end will show up on your bill with 4€. No wonder you find mostly tourists in this place and very less locals.

We read this place was worth checking out so we headed there for breakfast on our last day. We stayed about 10 mins as the service was very poor. There was only one lady waiting on tables who didn't speak any English and wasn't particularly helpful. Didn't feel welcome at all.

A wide choice of tapas and full dishes, all carefully prepared with fresh market ingredients. Reasonable prices, a good wine selection, great atmosphere.

Visited here whilst visiting Barcelona for the weekend on a recommendation. Very busy and great atmosphere. We had to sit at the bar to eat our meal but it's still a good experience. Vegetable spring rolls where light and fresh, Thai curry was spot on and my girlfriend had the lamb and potatoes which was beautiful! This would of got... More

Fantastic fresh food prepared in an open style kitchen for very reasonable good prices in the heart of Barcelona and one of the few places where you will find locals. Must go! Small advice, great breakfast menue and the best coffee in town.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
