Great, unpretentious food! Great atmosphere and service.

As we're staying close-by, we always noticed how busy the place is. After trying twice to get in, we finally managed - although sitting at a long, sharing table - and had a fabulous meal. The menu is long and varied but is presented in a very creative and original way: it reads like a... read more

Service could be much better, looking at the gross number of waiters. Food quality is very good. Some dishes are really good. Although the services needs to be improved. Big mistake, when you ask for 2 desserts from the menu which are not available, should had been advised. It becomes worst when I stand up, and I can see on... More

Recommended by a close friend and after visiting it was quite clear why he insisted! Cosy environment, friendly personnel and high quality food and wine! We visited 3 times within a week! Pleasure guaranteed! Don't miss it!

The restaurant is in the Mercat Santa Caterina. It has a nice feel, and was packed with customers. The menu was huge...covering a lot of different cuisines. Two of us had finished our meal, and despite asking several times, my husband's food never came. We eventually stopped the order, and went to another restaurant.

I cannot believe it has taken me until now to try this place! I moved to the Born area in October last year and always passed by this place. Decided to finally go for my birthday in February and I've been back twice since! We decided to sit at the bar because we wanted tapas and the atmosphere was a... More

The yummiest dinner of my life. Would highly recommend the squid/ octopus and foie. Atmosphere was lovely and everything was delicious. The wine is good and cheap.

While walking through the area, we decided to enter the market and have lunch on the restaurant. The food was excellent. The Cordero deshuesado, the marinera rice and the gambas had great flavor. The dessert was awesome. Definitely order the miloja.

This is an excellent indoor place to read your newspaper over morning coffee and a baguette, some tortilla or a croissant. Around lunch, the place transforms into an incredibly busy bustling restaurant with long lines for tables. If you don't want to wait in line, try the bar in the front instead. The bar serves tapas and drinks, opposed to... More

I fell in love with this restaurant since 2012. I have sat at the bar, at the tables around the bar and at the tables inside. Only thing missing is sitting outside. I recommend everything. The menu is so eclectic that you basically can satisfy any craving you have. Last time, it was 5 of us and we sat at... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
