Cheap & cheerful indian style veggy place

Look - when the bill comes to €31 for two people for three courses and a drink, you can't really complain too much, so bear this in mind. A "Hare Krishna" style veggy restaurant with a fixed price menu including a soft drink. The food was OK the service was OK - unusual menu with an indian twist

Having been highly recommended by Lonely Planet, we walked a very long way to Amaltea expecting a lovely evening. However the food was awful, tasteless and just ....horrible . We were shocked ! I have been a vegetarian all my life and have never been served such dreadful dishes before! We didn't make a fuss because the owner was so... More

The food was very poor with little flavour and not well thought out. Thank goodness that the food was quite cheap otherwise we would have been very disappointed. Having visited other restaurants locally with a similar pricing structure we were amazed at how bad the food was. We recommend that you avoid the food here despite some good reviews in... More

We went, having read good reviews. What an odd little restaurant. It was like going back in time eating here. The menu seemed varied but in fact the dishes we sampled shared many of the same ingredients and were lacking in flavour or texture. It is worth noting that no alcohol is served. There was little or no atmosphere and... More

The menu was great. We shared a started of spaghetti with breads and vegan pesto which was beaitful. I had the curry and my partner had the sweetcorn fritters with the feta couscous substituted for something else because it wasn't vegan. The staff were extremely helpful. The desert was incredible. The chocolate carrot cake was the best vegan dessert we... More

A wonderful little restaurant serving house-made vegetarian food tucked away from the crowds of Las Ramblas and the Old City but still very much within walking distance of the popular tourist sites, shopping streets, and the historic centre.

So glad we managed to find this place. Thoroughly enjoyed the pure vegetarian food. Very friendly staff/owners, very clean. On the same block as Urgell metro station, but the sign was obscured by scaffolding. Enjoyed everything we had on the lunch menu, be adventurous and rather not try the pasta, everything else was a gastronomic delight

The menu is predominantly vegetarian but there are a few vegan options that are clearly labelled. The owner is kind and helpful. They offer only a three course option but are great about packing up any extra food that you can't finish. While not extraordinary, it is a very solid choice.

. Stylish, nice-price, authentic Middle East plant eating place, portions to satisfy. You can be healthy & well fed all at once! Located in the throbbing modernism's metropolis area.. this is the only natural option around here! Air is pure, ambiance inviting.. Lunch & dinner menu simple & staple ..8,70 euro & you will be full . .

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
