. Stylish, nice-price, authentic Middle East plant eating place, portions to satisfy. You can be healthy & well fed all at once! Located in the throbbing modernism's metropolis area.. this is the only natural option around here! Air is pure, ambiance inviting.. Lunch & dinner menu simple & staple ..8,70 euro & you will be full . .

We went there for our last night in Barcelona. After five days in Spain I was craving a proper vegetarian meal. This one had nice reviews and I thought we'd give it a try. We chose the menu for 15,30EUR. I had spaghetti as a starter, my friend the hummus. Spaghetti was fine, but nothing special. The Hummus was plenty,... More

We popped in for lunch whilst wandering the streets close to our hotel. It was cheap and friendly, but the quality of the food was poor. We started with hummus and pita bread - more hummus on a single plate than I have ever seen before, served with dry/slightly old lettuce and a single, thin pita bread. The hummus didn't... More

This place is always good. I've been to Amaltea several times with friends and family and it's always a nice, light vegetarian meal at a great price. Service is pretty good. The only downside to it is they don't really serve any alcohol... but there are plenty of places around to go grab a drink before or after!

We were offered a set menu only the evening we went - starter, bread, main, dessert - with 6 or 7 options for both the starter and main course. All good wholesome veggie dishes, but we found our starters better (more creative and better cooked) than the mains, which were a bit on the dull and bland side and generally... More

Finding vegetarian food in a city that eats pretty much anything with a pulse is not always easy but this place is worth a visit. There's nothing amazing on the menu but everything is well cooked and tasty and there's a 3 course set menu for 15 euros which you can't complain about. Was really quiet when i visited but... More

Run by the same person running Govinda. Amaltea offers a western vegetarian menu. Food was excellent, enjoyed the desert as well.

The man running the place was SO nice, but the food was a big disappointment. The appetizers were bland, but healthy vegetarian options and we would have been content with that, but the food was WAY over cooked and very poorly seasoned. We couldn't eat it. We got goulash and it tasted like Chinese flavor, which was not noted, but... More

We went on the first night of our stay in Barcelona and were very disappointed, the place looked nice and the proprietor was very friendly (the waitress not so much) and the menu seemed promising including a curry, a tagine and a cannelloni dish. But when it arrived the food wasn't very inspiring and some of it very bland, even... More

Excellent value, for a reasonable set price you get a three course meal, entrada, plato principal, y dulce :) the quality of the food is excellent and the menu is very creative and changes frequently. They also had an art exhibit from local talent on display when we were there and we bought a painting to bring home as a... More
