Good food, poor service

Had lunch here last week. A nice place with intersting decor and a good atmosphere. The cannelloni and macaroni starters were excellent but the meatballs were served lukewarm with extremely hot fried potatoes which was a bit disappointing. I did go with my work colleagues for lunch. I knew from before but hadn't try for some time now. I was surprised on how tasty and good the food was. Price is also good, not cheap not expensive. Staff is nice but a bit rushy with the dishes when they want to clear the table a bit. Recommended.

This is a great place whether is for a typical tapas stop or a grilled steak dinner. The decoration of this Restaurant is quite amazing (old fashion) and cozy. Excellent food quality service.

Maybe we just went at the wrong time on the wrong day but we were very disappointed. Christmas eve, early evening. We went there on recommendation as I'm coeliac and they have a special gluten free menu. The menu was very limited and uninspiring and whilst I appreciate the need the prevent cross contamination with gluten items, some more tantalising... More

This restaurant was great value and the service was friendly and quick. The food was traditional Catalan and very good. It is decorated with interesting old photographs of Barcelona and if I had been staying longer would have been tempted to return

We found this place on our first night in Barcelona and after going through the menu outside with a very nice hostess, was pleased we decided to go in. Most times when a restaurant has staff outside trying to entice people in I am put of and continue walking but this lady was fine, only offering her assistance when asked.... More

A group of friends and I have been living in Morocco for between a year and two so our goal for our evening in Barcelona was pork, cheese and delicious wine. El Mussol provided all of these and then some. We never even looked at the menu, we just asked our waiter for a delicious meal. He was quick to... More

we were recommended this restaurant close to camp nou. it is great for a family meal with quality food. nothing fancy. the waiter was very accomadating for our gluten free, dairy free sons diet. i think it is a small chain restaurant as we later saw another in barcelona. very reasonable pricing.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
