So good, we went there twice!

We loved this light, airy lofty restaurant. It's on several floors with a Japanese restaurant on the ground floor. We initially went for dinner and liked it so much we returned for lunch on our last day. Also, because it's just off Passeig de Gracia, it's ideal for lunch. They have a set menu... read more

Went To Tragaluz at my last night in Barcelona and had the perfect end for the trip. The street where the restaurant is located is cute itself. The restaurant is beautiful, with a fancy decoration, kitchen is open you have to pass to get to the tables. We had some ham croquetes, amazing, had the taglioni w/ truffles, OMG, and... More

Excellent restaurant. Eaten here a few times over the years and never disappointed. Perfect flavours and presentation - in quirky surroundings. A fantastic feel to the place and the staff helpful but not obtrusive.

If you are tired of eating tapas & paella and would like to eat a more international cousine with a Catalan twist in a chic environment, this is the place. Beautiful glass roof; nice ambiance, good service, average food, high prices.

We were excited to try this restaurant because we had gone to another one of their restaurants in Madrid that we really enjoyed (Bar Tomate). This place was a real disappointment. In the first place, there is an air in the atmosphere that they are trying so hard to be something. We were seated at the first table near to... More

We had Christmas dinner here, a set menu that was a true delight. The quality of the meal was outstanding, the service impeccable and as we were sitting on the second level, enjoyed a view of the dining room that was great. On top, the restaurant hired a choir that went to all 3 levels of the restaurant singing Christmas... More

Booked tragaluz for a birthday dinner based on our positive experienced with bar Lobo which is also a Grupo Tragaluz. The restaurant is located in a quite street. The second floor where we had reserved it has a good atmosphere, the diner and kitchen area are well presented, service was merry and snappy. I got baked eggplant with sweet olive... More

Booked this restaurant for dinner on Christmas eve based on recommendation. Unfortunately one of the worst recommendations ever taken, and shall not be visiting this property in the future. The meal on this evening was a set menu, however provided a decent selection of what this property has to offer. Different selections were made by all of us, with each... More

The restaurant is located in a quiet street, and it is modern in any respect. They serve well-tasting traditional food in a modern fashion, and the wine-list is more than good enough even for people with interest in wine. Service could have been better and more personal.

Tragaluz has a good atmosphere when you walk in. My wife and I both ordered seared scallops as a starter . We both found them bland and luke warm. My main course was a pork loin "cannelloni" , which was really tasty and different, though a little on the small side. My wife had sea bass which was just okay.... More

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
