Tragaluz has become a gathering place for prominent citizens and one of the most glamorous establishments of the city. The menu is based on traditional Mediterranean cuisine but is also cutting edge. The removable glass roof gives the restaurant, which is located in the centre of the city, a pleasant and unique atmosphere.

Lovely restaurant, good location

We ate on the second floor, in the area that opens up via a row of overhead windows, to the air. It was a lovely setting, and the food was very good, as was the wine list. Although we ate early (reservations at 8!) they were out of two desserts by the time we ordered.

A nice place, well located. The food is good and the service nice. Great spanish wine list. The only remark is that you need to climb a stair to get to the restaurant. Inconvenient if you have difficulty to walk.

Great fresh food, we had lunch upstairs in the cool Mediterranean restaurant. It was a sunny day and the glass roof made it a real treat.

I was afraid when I was reading the reviews on trip adviser but once again they proofed being wrong. Food excellent, service wonderful and even when something went wrong directly corrected without discussion ! The waiters should get a raise ! For us best BCN Dinner this holiday, best of 8th restaurants we went ! Not the cheapest but WAUW... More

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We had the English menu. We ordered a salad that made no mention of Crab meat and when the salad arrived at the table it was a crab salad over greens. My wife does not eat shellfish. So I ended up eating the entire thing. The food was basically average at best. The... More

Nice environment and stylish restaurant in the heart of Barcelona. Nice bar where you can start with some sparkling wine, Cava or a dry sherry. Good wine list and excellent food. Privat dinners for companies at top level give you a nice view into the trees and a small garden.

We loved this light, airy lofty restaurant. It's on several floors with a Japanese restaurant on the ground floor. We initially went for dinner and liked it so much we returned for lunch on our last day. Also, because it's just off Passeig de Gracia, it's ideal for lunch. They have a set menu along side their a la carte... More

Went To Tragaluz at my last night in Barcelona and had the perfect end for the trip. The street where the restaurant is located is cute itself. The restaurant is beautiful, with a fancy decoration, kitchen is open you have to pass to get to the tables. We had some ham croquetes, amazing, had the taglioni w/ truffles, OMG, and... More

Excellent restaurant. Eaten here a few times over the years and never disappointed. Perfect flavours and presentation - in quirky surroundings. A fantastic feel to the place and the staff helpful but not obtrusive.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
