We had a very good meal here; the hake was especially good. I had Lamb trotters which was tasty if a little unusual. They serve tapas which looked lovely but we had been walking for hours and couldn't face eating standing up. There wasn't the option of mixing and matching the a la carte menu and tapas. The down side... More

we made the mistake of going here at 7 pm as we were really hungry. It was empty and absolutely no vibe, but the sandwiches were pretty good. When we walked by this restaurant on another night at 10 pm, it was absolutely crowded with locals and had an amazing vibe. The food alone would not be enough for me... More

Fun, busy, definitely stand in bar for the best experience. Great cashier and server. The food sells itself on its looks and other diners moans and groans of excellence. You really must go and try. Quick, easy, and very fun.

We stopped in shortly after they opened on a Sunday afternoon. Wonderful tapas sitting all over the counter to choose from. The two of us ended up having two glasses of wine each and 7 pintxos each and the bill came to 37 euros. When you are done you just hand in your plate to the person behind the bar... More

This place was heaving when we arrived. We had booked but didn't realise it was the restaurant part at the back. The main bar is where you stand and pick tapas and are charged per stcik at the end of the night. It looked a lot of fun. We ended up eating in the back part where it was menu... More

Stumbled on this and just had to go in. The array of plates of pintxos is so tempting. We started with the fresh crab accompanied by a delicious rosé. Staff are attentive and sympathetic towards those who speak little Spanish or Catalan. Highly recommended!

This is a nice tapas bar that also includes a Basque restaurant inside. For the tapas you have to stay at the bar, for other dishes you have to book in advance for a table, especially for friday and saturday night. The bar tapas are simply delicious and really fresh. The only problem is you have to stand at the... More

Great tapas at Irati. You stand at the bar and pick up what you want. Try as many as you want! At the end, the wait staff counts the number of toothpicks and charges you per toothpick. it was not only fabulous but also economical. Definitely stop in here while you are in Barcelona.
