Great tapas just off the ramblas

Having left the Bagauda taverna bitterly disappointed. I don't accept defeat easily and so headed straight to Irati taverna Basca what a difference a warm and welcoming greeting! The glasses glistening they were so clean. The cold tapas fresh and interesting! But the real stars of the show where the hot tapas which came out regularly and in small numbers,... More

Our favorite place in Barcelona for tapas, for a very good price. You get a plate, eat as much as you want and they charge by the toothpick from each tapa. you pay 1,90 euros each. The tapas are great, specially the crab and potato ones. They also serve drinks and beer. First time we were there we almost left... More

Great Tapas choices and great atmosphere. The chefs are clearly on their game and enjoying their gifts for creating good and innovative tastes. Tastes in an understatement as all of the food are generous portions. There is always something new coming out of the kitchen. Loved it.

We made a reservatiion via internet. Unfortunately there is no information that you can only get Tapas at the bar. So we had this table and we made our order. My wife took fish and I took meat. Hell that was expensive. Quality and bill doesn't fit together.

Our family recently visited Barcelona and our private guide recommended Irati, so thought we'd give it a try. We went late on a Monday, around 9:30pm - it was nearly empty but we had an awesome time! Wonderful staff who were so kind and answered any questions we had about the tapas - everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. The... More

A good stop for lunch time tapas, but be warned - it's very fish orientated so if you aren't that way inclined, it can all look a bit underwhelming. The dishes are currently €1.95 each but this can add up quickly as you can easily have 7 or 8 little plates each... I'd stick to

We rented an apartment right next door to this place. We had all these places people had recommended so didn't go here at first, but after we tried it one night, it was hard to justify going any where else. While we had more gourmet food elsewhere, this place was consistently good and friendly. Definitely find a place at the... More

Go here for local color, and probably some of the best tapas in all of Spain. Go hungry. Go on Saturday when the locals are out socializing. Food is excellent. Just stand at the bar if you can push your way through the crowd. Find a spot and settle in. Get a spot near the cash register and get some... More

Great, small tapas gem. Walk in, grab a plate and enjoy. Save the toothpicks for when you cash out. All of the tapas are bite sized, plentiful and unique. Presentation and flavors were excellent.
