Yes Yes and Yes... Having had the privilege of eating at many a sushi/Japanese restaurants including a 4am breakfast outside Tokyo fish market I have to confess this was up there with my top 3. Outstandingly fresh and delicious! Keep it up...

I completelly love the shushi in Shunka! It's allways can of full, so you need to book in advance. The toro tataki is the most recomended! Must try

Very bad food and service. We asked the chef to change a plate we didn't like but then we were charged for it. Deceiving from a restaurant of this standing.

This is one of my 3 favorite restaurants in the whole world. It's the best Japanese restaurant I know (ok, koyshunka, of the same chef and two streets behind Shunka, is arguably better, but more ambitious and expensive). Do book in advance or you won't find a table. I have never had a meal that was not just gorgeous.

If you're going for the food, you won't be disappointed. It's beautifully presented, good quality Japanese fare. However what lets this restaurant down is the overly-attentive service - prowling waitresses doing the rounds, assessing the volume of food still left on your plate every few minutes and the microsecond after you have put your last mouthful into your mouth, your... My girlfriend and I went to Shunka the other day to have a meal . I am in love with Japanese food and have to say it was a great experience. We had to book a table as it appears to be quite busy and it is difficult to get a table unless you've previously booked. We got there and... More

If you are looking for a piece of japan outside of japan here it is. You would not think of the place bring a restaurant from the outside, the inside is a buzzing place with great atmosphere and excellent nigiri and sashimi. Highly recommended if you want a good taste of japan without going there all the way. This comes... More

I keep on reading and hearing about what an amazing restaurant this one is. I have been here several times, and I must say I have mixed feelings about this place. One the one hand the service is terrible (not Japs, only Chinese), the place is humid, noisy and not appealing at all, decor is lame and the person who... More

Its the second time we have dinner here and it just gets better. Espardenyes, vieiras, entrecotte and of course the best toro sashimi I have ever had are must-have dishes. The food has a fantastic price-quality ratio (between 40€ and 50€ pp) and the wine has a very reasonable price from (bottles from 10€ to 25€ aprox). Difficult to book... More
